Downhill skiing

by EllenH

I mainly cross country ski but occasionally like to go downhill so that I don't totally forget how to. One hour south of Hamilton on the border of Montana and Idaho we have Lost Trail Powder Mountain. There are also downhill ski areas one hour north in Missoula but this is the only one I have ever been to. It cost $25 for an all day lift ticket so it is one of the less expensive areas. You can rent skis or snowboarding equipment there for 20-30 dollars. But if you only go once a year like we do its not worth owning the equipment.

The lodge and an easy hill.
