It has a loud and energetic feal to it. The Cooks are in the room with you and they are all incredible singers who love to preform as much as cook. Great Northern Saloon & Grill is the most popular place in town, but I was more comfortable at the Bulldog Saloon. Great Northern has a little younger crowd, and is frequently crowded; the Bulldog is more laid back and has better food. Try the Southwestern Chicken sandwich.
Dress Code: Everything in Whitefish is casual. The Tupelo Grill is a bit more upscale, but you can still go there in jeans and a sweater.
We flew Delta from Florida. You can fly to Kalispell, 15 miles away, take Amtrack right into Whitefish, or drive. I guess you can get there by bus, but i never investigated that option.The local bus system is reportedly very reliable--the SNOW Bus. It will get you around town and up to the mountain for skiing.more

Drive 20 miles northwest to Olney, and go for a dog sled ride. It is pricey, at $60. per person for a two hour ride, but it is worth it for the experience of dashing through the woods 'at the speed of dog'!
