Great Northern Saloon & Grill is the most popular place in town, but I was more comfortable at the Bulldog Saloon. Great Northern has a little younger crowd, and is frequently crowded; the Bulldog is more laid back and has better food. Try the Southwestern Chicken sandwich.

Dress Code: Everything in Whitefish is casual. The Tupelo Grill is a bit more upscale, but you can still go there in jeans and a sweater.

Whitefish Off The Beaten Path

Drive 20 miles northwest to Olney, and go for a dog sled ride. It is pricey, at $60. per person for a two hour ride, but it is worth it for the experience of dashing through the woods 'at the speed of dog'!
