The Range is a combination hotel/small town restaurant/small town bar. It is located in a very nice old building in the old part of town and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Known locally as a great place to get breakfast. Inside it looks like an old-style diner with antiques and a soda fountain. Lunch tends toward sandwiches and lighter fare. Freindly staff too. I reccommend it!
Favorite Dish: Open faced roast beef sandwich with gravy.
It was all good. Nice, casual atmosphere, nothing fancy. friendly waitresses.
I am told that in 2006 the Range Cafe was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Favorite Dish: Hot beef sandwich. Just notice that unless you specify mashed potatoes, you get french fries for some reason. The hot beef sandwich was only $4.50 in the year 2007! amazing.
They have a small salad bar but it looked fresh and good. They also offer a "Navaho Salad" which we had never heard of. It is served on Navaho flat bread. We didn't try it but it probably is very good.
