Just a week after a December 2009 snowstorm, we took a look around town and here are some things we saw.

Beaver City is a small town of about 600 (down 6% since 2000) located along Nebraska Highway 89 in South Central Nebraska not far from the Kansas Border. What Beaver City lacks in facilities it makes up for in friendliness. Beaver City was named for Beaver Creek which (presumably) had a lot of beaver in it. Beaver City is the county seat of Furnas County which was named for Robert W. Furnas the second Governor of Nebraska. There is also a nice library in town.
Beaver City has a tiny historic district with a couple of buildings of historical and/or architectural interest.
Beaver City also has a nice city park in the middle of town with an impressive Civil War Memorial in it. The standing soldier motif is the most common type of Civil War Memorial.
Fondest memory: The city park and the nice ladies in the library.
