Emily's is a recently opened cafe in a beautifully restored turn-of-the-century building. They have interesting historical photos of Broken Bow, including the "Emily's" building, on the walls. And yes, they have a real soda fountain.
Favorite Dish: They have ice cream, ice cream sodas, Banana Splits, Parfaits, pies, cookies, sandwiches, gourmet coffee to drink there or packets to buy and take home, nice "Emily's" T-Shirts to buy, various other gourmet food products.
Their posted hours are: Monday thru Saturday 10 am to 10 pm, Sundays 1 pm to 5 pm. However no lunch is served on Sundays.

OK, so I've never actually eaten here. I just think it would be interesting, knowing what happened there in 1958. Charlie Starkweather and his girlfriend Caril Ann Fugate stopped here in the middle of their cross-country mass murder episode. They got gas and sandwiches and went on their way. They killed 11 people from Lincoln, Nebraska, into Wyoming, where they wer captured. Testimony of an employee of the Tumbleweed helped convict Caril, who then became the youngest female in American history to receive a life sentence (she has since been paroled). Charlie was executed in 1959. Its true. Look it up.
