An art teacher from Lincoln is painting a nice mural on a building in Cairo. This took place in June of 2011.
I also took these photos in June of 2011. There was still some scaffolding in place so the painting might not be complete, but you will get the idea.
Here you see my wife browsing flowers at the "Country Greenery" Nursery, which is so popular in the springtime that they sometimes have horseback riders directing traffic in the parking lots! The nursery has a very nice and well-organized selection of plants, including annuals, perennials, trees, shade-tolerant plants, and vegetables. It is a bit pricey, however.
As another attached photo shows, the nursery provides a nice lunch for its customers during the Friday and Saturday grandj opening each spring. In 2006 this was on May 5th and 6th.
Please note that this nursery is closed on Sundays.
NEVER TRIED IT, DON'T KNOW IF IT WILL OPEN AGAIN IN THE SUMMER OR NOT. LOOKS KINDA DISCOURAGING.
