    SUNMART: GROCERIES ETC

    by Rich62 Updated Feb 3, 2006

SUNMART HAS A NICE GROCERY STORE, A NICE LIQUOR STORE, AND A SELF-SERVICE (CREDIT CARD ONLY) SERVICE STATION. The gasoline prices are generally about the second lowest in Kearney (see transportation tip for lowest price).

Sometimes when travelling, you can save a wad of money by getting some fixings for sandwiches in a local grocery store.

THE THIRD PHOTO shows another grocery store called Apple Market, which is located on the north side of Highway 30 (25th St.) just two blocks east of 2nd Avenue. Its a good store too.

What to buy: Food, Liquor, Gasoline

What to pay: reasonable. grocery prices are a little higher than WalMart, however. But its a nice store.

MORRIS PRESS COOKBOOKS: COOKBOOKS FROM NEARLY EVERY STATE

    by Rich62 Written Jul 18, 2005

If your church or organization had a cookbook published, not matter what state you may live in, there is a good chance it was printed right here in Kearney, Nebraska. (Look in the front pages or on the back page.)

What to buy: Stop in and browse thousands of cookbooks from all over the country. You may select one cookbook from a box of "extras" for free. Others are reasonably priced.

The only cookbooks not available are cookbooks from Nebraska! This is because they do not want to compete with nearby fund-raisers.

    What to pay: reasonable prices.
