The Leid Conference Center has a fine restaurant. It is also a very interesting and unique place. There is a wood burning furnace that runs very clean and efficiently. The grounds around the center have been planted in a variety of fruit and nut bearing orchards. That is a hazelnut field in the photo. Much of the construction for the center is done using wood rather than steel. The center is a model for conservation and beauty.
