Omaha's Eppley Airfield, four miles north of downtown Omaha, is served by 18 scheduled air carriers: America West, Continental, Continental Express, United, Air Wisconsin, Southwest, Delta, Comair, Skywest, US Airways Express, Northwest, Mesaba, Skyway, Midwest Express, Frontier, American, American Eagle, and TWA. Casino Express provides seasonal charter flights.

my preferred connection and the preferred carried is Continental Airlines from Houston which I reach from Miami on continental airlines.. it is a long way to come in terms of time.. not the distance from miami.. and this is a whole different world out in Omaha.. Leave a Comment Theme: Airplane

I arrived this thursday last for my flight to New York to connect with my flight to Paris. The flight was delayed and later cancelled due to mechanical problems as well as weather problems in newark.
Rana Ibragimova from Tajikstan, an american now, was so efficient, she arranged me to stay at a hotel, a dinner and then put me on a flight to Paris via Houston with much better seats than expected..

Omaha is easy to visit, at the intersection of I-29 and I-80, with a major airport, greyhound and other bus terminals, and Amtrak access. Watch out for overbooked flights, as Eppley gets an excessive amount of business travel due to the large number of multinational corporations headquartered here.
Omaha is easy to navigate, using a straightforward grid system for the streets. It appears that someone actually planned the development of the city...very odd... The MAT bus system is quite viable, except in the evils of the suburbs (i.e. west of 144th St). Taxi cabs actually come when they say they will, and 'Happy Cab' would be my recommendation, as they are usually friendly and rapid. Some of the cabs have recently been serving double duty as massive advertising banners, so don't expect a bright yellow cab, as it might just be a buy.com, Iomega, or whatever other logo that still slightly resembles a normal cab. Most cabs accept credit cards within the cab. Omaha is reasonably bicycle friendly, and has an excellent trails network which, weather permitting, is actually viable for short-distance transportation. All major car rental services, as well as several local companies are available. If booking a large group to travel Omaha, there are also charter pseudo-trolleys available. Traffic in Omaha is very, very smooth the main interstate I-80 is 6 lanes in each direction which double the lanes my native Denver, and current city of residence Columbus, OH has...so if your going down I-80 from say salt lake city to chicago your not going to have major traffic EXCEPT:
College world-series time really causes the traffic too crawl along 13th street where the games are played, the people who live in the small houses along 13th street let you park but for a large price....50-75 dollars a day....because they know the rich out of towners can afford it and they need to pay for Nebraska's sky high property taxes...also call the bus company they have many places where you park for free and they shuttle you over too the college world-series Leave a Comment Theme: Other

We have found Omaha really easy to navigate, and this time were even able to travel out to visit friends in Lincoln. It is so simple to pick up a rental car at the airport. So far, we've used three different companies, and Hertz has been the best by far. We have always book ahead online, either through a discount site or as a package deal through United with our air travel.
