This is one stop shoppng at it's best - minus clothing. The Furniture Mart boasts being the largest furniture store in the US..and does have quite the selection. However, for computer stuff to CD's to videos to games to home appliances, this place is the BEST! If you've got a hole in your pocket with money to spend...go here!!
You can buy anything here! One of the best stores I have ever been in! More than 450,000 square feet of showroom space!

If you want to do a generic mall, Omaha has three main choices: Westroads and Oak View indoors and Village Point outdoors. They include all the stores you would want. I'd avoid Crossroads. I have come across so many titles difficult to find in other bookstores. To me, this and Powells in Portland are must visit bookstores. In fact many a time, I would come directly from the airport or make this the last stop before going to catch a flight

Who would have thought that a boutique that would have luxurious brands would be found in Omaha- but I have now been to Nouvelle Elle on two occasions and have discovered a wonderful place to shop. The store is organized in colors- making it easier to put outfits together.
They have a wonderful selection of both dressy and casual clothing. They also carry some unique perfumes and a nice selection of jewelry.
There merchandise is not cheap. I paid from $45 (on sale) to $165 for a top.

The old rustic looking building on the northeast corner of 132nd and Center. Once you get by the somewhat uptight staff there are a couple of their staff members that are more than helpful. There are a couple of people that will be excellent if you need some expert type advice. I'd ask for Brent or Megan. They are definately the most knowledgeable and will actually want to help you. The store owner is a pretty eccentric fella and is a joy to talk to as well. Has some very interesting stories if you have a couple minutes. Also, if you feel like the price is a little unjustified don't be afraid to haggle a little bit.
The designer denim sections for both men and women is among one of the best that I've seen in the Midwest. The suit range for men is where you could possibly pick up a hugo boss suit for under 400$ on sale! Amazing really! It's definately a must see. Their selection is extremely broad and could possibly cater to you

With the excitement of putting up my first Christmas Tree, I was very excited to see this Christmas store while on a trip to Omaha. Tannanbaum carries other things- like lights and nativity themes, but the real draw is the ornaments. Layed out in themes and by type of ornaments, one could easily decorate a number of trees.
I especially like the "S'more" ornaments, meant to look like a cross between a snow man and a dessert.

This is right next door to Nebraska Furniture Mart and this is the best place to shop for furniture, including carpet remnants, of any kind! I got a fantastic deal on a couch, only 300 bucks, simply because the rest of the matching furniture had already been sold!! Close and easy to the Mart to do complete furniture shopping. Rose Blumkin, universally known as “Mrs. B,” founded the company in the basement of a downtown Omaha pawn shop in 1937.

A NICE WINE SHOP WITH THE VARIOUS WINES WELL ORGANIZED. Each Friday evening they have a wine tasting from 5 to 8 pm. However only two wines are made available each Friday for tasting. Bob & Carolyn are the owners.
Some wines are priced as little as $10 or so, and they go up from there. Many are in the $20 category. PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING THAT RELATES TO THE NEBRASKA CORNHUSKERS can be purchased here. On our last visit we bought a couple of Husker wine glasses and a Husker ladies scarf.
