You know USA is a very rich country, when you visit the brand new hospital here in Winnebago, serving just 4000 Indians from two tribes: Winnebago and Umonhon. When I was recently in Kerala in India, I realized that in all of that state, of 30 ormore million people, there is no hospital as modern as this one! There are advantages to be colonized by the United States

It is a custom to freshly baked goods, like a PUmpkin Pie of the season, and sell it to those who desire the taste. While I was visiting an Indian friend, someon knocked at the door and offered for sale Pumpkin Pie, still warm. It tasted so delicious
Favorite Dish: This time Pumpkin Pie
but the fare varies and if you are ever invited to a ceremony there is a chance you will get to taste traditional indian fare

Often you see people selling homemade hybrid indian food from the back of trucks. Frybread is sold by people who take it from office to office, along with Indian Taco, which is just a frybread with lots of Salad and Chili.
One of the greatest problems is Malnutrition, this town is so neglected that it does not even have a fast food restaurant!! so all food has to be bought at south sioux city 25 miles away
Favorite Dish: Indian Fry Bread, with Buffalo meat supplied by the tribal Buffalo Farms. Fruit Cup. The local Diabetes programme runs a wonderful cafe for kids during summer and one is always assured of a good meal there.
