I was looking for unique place we could have breakfast and found this one on the web. It was featured on “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives", in May of 2007 with host Guy Fieri. So my hubby was thrilled to try out another wonderful place. It was already getting crowded, but had exactly four counter chairs that had our names on it. So we sat at the counter which brought back so many wonderful memories of eating at old fashion dinners. They were very polite, the food was good, and a little pricey, but worth it. Well worth the stop if your ever in Boulder City.

We didn't want to eat here because we had planned to eat in Vegas. Yet, I know being a Mom and if you have young children and spending a whole day at the dam your kids get hungry. It was a good thing they put something in with the volume of folks visiting everyday all year long. There were lots of folks taking advantage of the wonderful facility. Its part of the one first parking garages, so you cannot miss it while you drive into the dam area.

The food is fine at this restuaurant although the place could use a good cleaning. The problem that we had was that the owners seem to feel is that this is their pickup joint. We travel to the lake a lot since we have friends in Henderson that have a boat. The locals at the tables next to us joked that the owner has been with most of the singles in the city... aren't they supposed to worry about what people think?

This is a little food stand at the Dam, and according to it's remote location, is a bit pricey. $2 for a small bottle of water, almost $4 for a hot dog .... so not the most cost efficient choice around! Be prepared to stand in a long line of thirsty and hungry folks like you. Despite having the option to have more windows open, they were working out of a single window this day, so the wait was loooong.
Favorite Dish: But, their ice cream cones are WONDERFUL!! Especially in the heat of the day :) I prefer the mixed soft serve of vanilla and chocolate ... but to each their own. Just slurp it up and enjoy!

Milo's was recommended to us by a Las Vegas local. It is located on the main road TO the dam ... but because of the way this town has routed traffic flow ... it is a teeny way out of the way on your way BACK from the dam!
Was it the great food, fantastic company, or the ambiance? I don't know for sure which factors made this a great place to stop for our meal .... but it was wonderful ;)
Favorite Dish: This little place has great food! According to Berni, they had the best Ceasar Salad :) I enjoyed my Carne Diem beef sandwich, and everyone scarfed up their various meal selections. The sides were great too! Fresh grapes, and the best potato salad I've had in ages. The portions are huge, but not as overwhelming as some places we ate at on this trip ... so no doggy bags were needed today!

Great unique sandwiches, incredible wine list, coffees, teas, sitting outside. Like being in France in a small village restaurant.
Favorite Dish: Tasty soup specials and any of the sandwiches is a good choice. Sandwich/soup is good choice for light dinner, too.
