I've bought the nightclub passes and STILL had to wait in line!! I think it depends on if the club is busy, what night it is, and what "celebrity" they have partying there that night. Seems like there is always some sketchy guy trying to bring us into "the best club." Was looking on youtube and found this iphone app thats supposed to help you get into the nightclubs...anyone tried it?

There are a handful of companies that employ photographers that go out and about to the hottest destinations in Vegas and take high quality photos and then post them on the company website for you to enjoy. To some, I'm sure, they love being photographed having some Vegas good-times, and I'm sure there are others that could use less evidence of their Vegas frolics. Either way, these websites are great tools to use to plan your Vegas nights out- they usually list A-Listers and celebrities attending the clubs on which nights- a great way to make sure you are in "the place to be" on your Vegas nights out. The best website in my opinion is Napkinnights.com, but there is also SpyonVegas.com, and a few other photog sites to help plan your night out...and then go back to and search out your party photos!

If you're going to Vegas there are so many clubs to choose from.. Most hotels have clubs and bars inside their hotel or casino. There is usually something for everyone. Most clubs have dresscode, so dress fancy. No sneakers, often no jeans, no caps, no flipflops. Bring nice shoes, pants and a nice shirt with or without a jacket. Make an effort! Also it's easier to get in if you're in company with girls.

Quick guide to the top clubs in Las Vegas and how they work on a Friday / Saturday night.
1. Are you a world famous celebrity ?
2. If female - look like a glamour model ?
3. If male - accompanied by at least two of No. 2 above ?
4. Finally, are you willing to slip the door staff $50 a head to get in ?
If you have answered yes to any of the above questions, Congratulations ! Move straight to the front of the queue and onto the dance floor. If not, hard luck and expect a lengthy wait like everyone else.
OTHER WAYS IN
Free "VIP" passes can be found for most venues, but at best these will only get you free admission. DO NOT EXPECT TO QUEUE JUMP WITH THEM.
I bought some off a guy on Ebay (lasvegashookups - although his account has now been cancelled) for about $2 each, and all of them worked. Just be aware of the small print for date / time restrictions - and that if you search / ask about, you can probably find these passes for free once in Las Vegas.
Also, most of the passes in circulation are for the less popular venues on quieter (Thursday or Friday) nights. i.e. DO NOT EXPECT TO FIND A VIP PASS TO BODY ENGLISH ON SATURDAY NIGHT.
Entrance is also at the discretion of the door staff, and we were turned away from Studio54 with some, even though it clearly stated "FREE ADMISSION - ANY NIGHT". (We had blagged the guest list anyway so it didn't matter).
For guaranteed entrance (and especially if you're in an all male group) - I suggest using one of the VIP Guest services. Someone will meet you outside the venue and walks you in to a reserved table. Will be pricey though as each table requires bottle service - basically they make you buy a bottle of booze (up to $400) and then provide free glasses, mixers and ice all night - however it can prove cost effective for larger parties. Several companies offer this service with wildly differing costs - expect to pay about double the entrance fee + bottle service costs.
Dress Code: Las Vegas Nightclubs.Com Ranges from free guestlist places to full personal VIP Host escorted entry. (Line Pass+ Admission). After you see the queue in The Palms on a Saturday night you'll realise it was $40 well spent.

One of the most interesting things about Las Vegas nightlife is that its really across the boards. The range of activities (gambling, eating, drinking, seeing a show, clubbing, etc.) is overwhelming. Like Vegas in general, there's some type of nightlife pursuit which will suit everyone.
Vegas is also unique in the range of opportunities to dress up or dress down. People in casinos wear shorts and tank tops feeding quarters into machines while men in suits walk past, along with a broad spectrum of attire on the various sighseers, club goers and everyone else.
So whether to dress up or not really depends on what you like to do or where you want to go. Some restaurants require it, as do the popular clubs, but everything else falls somewhere in between.

Vegas is a nightlife city. In addition to the bars, clubs and casinos, there are shows for every budget (from the free entertainment to the very very expensive) and interest. The city has lots of adult themed shows and nightclubs, which is probably part of the reason why there are so many bachelor parties in town.
Since the closest I got to one of these shows was Zumanity, which had some nudity but was not risque adult entertainment, I'd suggest looking at 24/7, the free magazine provided to tourists. Every cab driver has copies in their cab and you can probably pick up a copy in stores or on the street as well.

A: West Rim is closer to Las Vegas, but is a huge tourist trap. It isn't actually located inside Grand Canyon National Park. It's a privately run casino / resort type place.
