Well we're two broads in our 40s so Voodoo Lounge is definitely not for us. lol It was a baby crowd, god love 'em. But the view of the strip at night is worth it. Voodoo Lounge is on the 51st floor and part of it is outside so you'll see the Vegas strip with all it's colors at night.
We stayed only long enough to drink What the Witch Doctor Ordered, a huge bubbly, smoking drink.

All nightclubs are no jeans, maybe except Hard Rock Hotel clubs.
The Voodoo Lounge is situated 51 floors at the top of the Rio Hotel and the views are amazing. Get there early (especially on a weekend) as you will expect to queue for ages. The cover charge is $20 and for a a beer and vodka/tonic we was paying $19 so its not a cheap night out but I would recommend going if only for the view.
Like the cafe, the lounge is fun, and classy. I really enjoyed myself the entire time that I was there. The club is a little less wild and crazy than others on the strip, but there is a nice crowd and it is a good place to hang out with friends.
There was a not-so-good band playing when we were there, but it didn't detract much from the overall experience.
Dress Code:
No Jeans, No Sneakers, No Cutoff anything--nice clothes, but not too prissy.
Great bar to go and have a drink. Rio hotel is just of the strip but if you go up to the bar on the 13th floor you get a fantastic view over Vegas strip. Guranteed to spent at least 20 mins with your friends trying to name the hotels.
Bar is decorated like voodoo, black magic - all dark colours, voodoo dolls, pics etc.. really good atmosphere.
Dress Code:
Smart casual
At the very top of the Rio sits the Voodoo Lounge. I have had lots of fun at this bar, but you really have to be in the mood for it. A wide range of ages show up here and you shouldn't hesitate to bring your aunt and uncle or the cousin you only see on occasion.
The view is breathtaking and some of the drinks (especially the witchdoctor) are killers.
The house band, however, is so cheesy you can't help but laugh. I'm sure there are people who genuinely like hearing innocuous and sanitized top 40 songs from the past 50 years, but if you are into music at all, you may wretch just a little inside. Good musicians, but I can't help feeling a bit sorry for them when they play Mambo No. 5 (and really trying to sell it) for the zillionth time. If you're in the right mood, it can be campy fun.
Dress Code:
Men need to wear collared shirts. No sneakers.
I wondered why my friends were so anxious to go to the Vodoo Lounge - the view is amazing. It's on one of the top floors of the Rio and has breathtaking views of the Strip. If you're gonna wait on line for a good club, this is worth the wait.
The Voodoo Lounge 51 floors atop the Rio is the place to be, baby. Not only is the scene...shall we say...festive, but you get to hang out outside overlooking Vegas at night and drinking potent smoldering concoctions. It's a beautiful thing to party in Vegas outside on top of the world.
Dress Code:
No Jeans. No sneakers.
Settled atop the Rio Hotel and Casino on the 51st floor, enjoy the live music at the VooDoo Lounge. Open nightly from 5pm-2:30am. The live music starts at 9pm.
Dress Code:
no sneakers, flip-flops, torn jeans, and T-Shirts please.
The view from the Voodoo Lounge's patio, on the Rio hotel-casino's 51st floor is truly spectacular. You can see the entire eastern half of the Vegas Valley, from McCarran to North Las Vegas.
The inside of the lounge isn't half-bad, either. It fills criteria for a good lounge: it's dark, it has a low ceiling and the neat New Orleans decor.
There's a $10 cover after 8 p.m. This place totally ROCKS!!!!!!!
Dress Code:
There's a dress code check. Just before you reach the elevators that shoot to the top floor of the Rio, you pass a doorman who looks you up and down to see if you pass muster ("business casual" basically, I guess no blue jeans or t-shirts)
Top notch bar on top of the Rio Suites. Great drinks, great people, great view!
Dress Code:
Casual, but Trendy. They may not turn you away from the elevator taking you up, but you'll be shunned by most of the patrons once inside!
