Hoover Dam/Lake Mead, Las Vegas
The blue water and contrasting color of the red rocks makes this one of my favorite places in the USA.
Just a shot of some traffic at Hoover Dam to show the enormity of those rocks. This was my first time there and I was just in awe of my surroundings
I only flew over the dam myself.
Here is a photo of the dam from the air.

This is an archetectural marvel. I was not lucky enough to take the tour as I got there just before closing hour. My next trip to Vegas this will be a must see on my activities list.
This was right near Hoover Dam. One side is Arizona and the other side is Nevada..see I can be two places at once.
This is one of the many great views of the Hoover dam. At the dam, you can walk into the State of Arizona.
You bet you´ll feel a lot better once you´re up and out again - but you´ll also feel respect for those who built this wonder in the 1930s.
Hoover Dam itself is certainly worth a trip. The Nevada-Arizona border 'cuts' the dam in two, and when you drive across the dam, you´ll also step forward in time (time zone!).
The Hoover Dam.
In Black Canyon on the Colorado River, about 30 miles southeast of Las Vegas, Nevada.
If you're tired of all the lights and hustle and bustle, why not take a tour of Hoover Dam? It's really awesome.
Hoover Dam is about 45 minute drive from Las Vegas through the desert mountains.
