This restaurant is in the Venetian complex. The service was excellent despite being very busy. Surprisingly reasonable prices and one of the best meals we had: recommend the miso salmon. Zinfandel an excellent red!!

    Favorite Dish: Miso salmon

    Grand Lux Cafe: Always dependable...

    by TravelChick67 Updated Apr 4, 2011

If you ever find yourself unsure of where to eat, this is a safe bet.

The fact that they are owned by the Cheesecake Factory means you'll have a large selection of dishes to choose from that will generally taste somewhere between good to great and you'll be full when you leave.

Yes, it's a bit more expensive than the food court or coffee shop but it is WELL worth it.

You can sit inside or out on the "patio" and watch all the tourists walk by.

Favorite Dish: The Crispy Caramel Chicken (see pic to left) is EXCELLENT. This is what a "sweet/sour" or "orange" type chicken is SUPPOSED to be.

Very light breading, large chunks of white meat chicken, well balanced, sweet and flavorful sauce and a nice combination of textures. I love this dish.

My husband had the meatloaf and was also pleased.

Like its parent, The Cheesecake Factory, I can't say I LOVE every dish I ever order but I have NEVER gotten a bad dish. Something I didn't care for perhaps, but never outright terrible and most things are quite good.

Grand Lux Cafe: Convenient and tasty: Grand Lux Cafe

    by Erin74 Updated Apr 4, 2011

Grand Lux Cafe, located in The Venetian on the strip, is a popular choice for casual dining in Las Vegas. Located near the gaming floor and central elevators in the hotel, the cafe is always crowded. There is a large bar area right at the entrance where you can wait for a table, watch sports on television or enjoy a cocktail with friends.

Grand Lux Cafe is owned by the same people who own and operate The Cheesecake Factory. If you've ever been to The Cheesecake Factory, you can expect more of the same at Grand Lux Cafe: an enormous menu with perhaps too many options and huge portion sizes. It's basic American food: sandwiches, salads, steaks, burgers, chicken, pizza, etc... The restaurant also has a large dessert menu.

Grand Lux Cafe is open 24 hours a day. A perfect spot to satisfy those late-night munchies!

The prices here tend to be a little high for such standard fare (although most dining in Las Vegas tends to be expensive, contrary to popular belief). I find that an entree will easily feed two people, however.

Grand Luxe Cafe: Great Food, Big Portions!

This restaurant is located in The Venetian. The food and service here is really outstanding. The prices may seem a little high at first glance, but the portions are generally enough to feed 2 people.

The desserts are to die for! Cheesecakes, cupcakes, apple crisp, creme brulee, cookies... all baked fresh to order! For the fastest service, make sure you order your dessert at the same time as your meal.

Favorite Dish: We went here for lunch one day. I had a pulled pork sandwich, it was delicious AND enormous! Fortunately I had a teenaged boy with me, who gladly polished off my leftovers after consuming his own meal!

Warning: portions are big! Thanks to our waitress, we did not order a lot. Having a salad and one entre was good enough for lunch for two people. (But that’s us: don’t try it at home:)
Service is very good. Can’t complain. Food is just right for a hungry gambler:)

  • 'Latalier Rebuchon: Atalier ....does that mean lab?

by Seberus Written Dec 10, 2006

The food at L'atalier was excellent....the suggestion of 3 to 4 " tapas" sized portions from their a la carte menu was plenty for dinner.
The service was excellent, helpful and very friendly
The seating is uncomfortable....you basically sit on bar stools....it was nice meeting folks from other places....but for 300 dollars , you should have your own table,
Otherwise it was a fine dinner

  • Michaels: Old fashioned, times gone by modern prices

by Seberus Written Dec 10, 2006

This restaurant is located in the Barbary Coast Hotel....a less than 1st class establishment. Behind the Tiffany glass doors is an entirely different ambiance.....the room, small by any standard, is decorated in red velvet with an old 50's feel. There is a large staff to client ratio, the service is superb. We had our anniversary ( 37th ) there and we were treated very well indeed. A cruditee bowl( large by any standard ) and bread and crackers were on the table in minutes, the food prepared at table side was truly delicious....and although we had no appetizer or desert ( we have to watch that waist line) we rolled out of the restaurant....
a bit expensive however....if price is an object it is not the place for you

Favorite Dish: We only had the filet of sole which was great! and very ample indeed!

Grand Lux Cafe: Grand Lux Cafe in the Venetian

We arrived in Vegas late and were starving. After a bad experience at our lousy hotel (the Frontier) we decided to have dinner elsewhere, but we had no idea where to even start looking. There are obviously hundreds of restaurants on the Strip, but how do you find one with good food at a good price? We ended up at the Venetian because we wanted to see the canals, but when we stumbled upon the Grand Lux Cafe, we knew we had found a pretty good spot. Most meals were $15-$20 and it was in one of the nicest casinos in the city...furthermore, the atmosphere looked good, but not too fancy, it was busy, and they had some of my favorite German dishes.

We reserved a table and received a buzzer, but after ordering a beer at the bar, we realized we could also order food here (and sports were on TV), so we decided to stay. Our bartender (Joseph F.) was a true professional and on top of things... we decided he was the best restaurant server we had during our entire 12-day trip across the country. We had a few tall glasses of Sam Adams ($7 each), dad had the mahi mahi ($22), and I had the ahi tuna sandwich (about $13). Both meals were outstanding.

Grand Lux Cafe: Good Food, Good Price

by HELEN Updated Oct 11, 2006

This in not a fine dinning restaurant by any means, but if your looking for good food at a decent price this is your spot. This restaurant is owned by same owners as cheesecake factory so the menu is similar. There a great variety of just about anything you can think of to eat, which makes it difficult to decide what to order. This restaurant is huge, so even when there's a line to be seated which may look like a long wait, it really is just a few minutes. Though it may be difficult, but try to leave room for desert. Grand Lux offers a large variety of cheesecakes.

Favorite Dish: We came here for dinner and for breakfast. Everything I've tried, I loved. Burgers are great, pizza, seared ahi, and omelets are all delicious.

Grand Lux Cafe: Best restaurant in Vegas

Great ambience, you can dress down or up and not stand out. Havent tried anything here that I havent liked and the staff has always been extremely friendly.

Favorite Dish: The best appetizer is the Stuffed Potato Spring Rolls, and the buffalo rolls and pot stickers are also really good. If you have a big group try the Appetizer sampler to try a bit of the best dishes. Their greek salad is also good, and for dessert try one of their made to order desserts or the Dulce De Leche Cheescake. All terrific!

We did our rehersal dinner at the Grand Lux Cafe, it was great! The food, service, and ambiance were awesome.
The restaurant is part of the Cheesecake Factory company, and the menu is very similar. They offer anythng from steak to asian food to pasta to fried chicken.
An added plus is that it is located in the beautiful Venetian hotel.

Favorite Dish: I had the seared ahi... yum.

Grand Lux Cafe: Delicious Italian food in the Venetian

    One of the murals

We should have visited this spot sooner, I suppose, but better late than never! As with all restaurants on The Strip, there was always a line to get in. However, the line moved very quickly and we were seated at a booth with soft leather benches. The interior is absolutely gorgeous and the wait staff was very friendly and attentive.

The menu was extensive, mostly focusing on Italian but offering American and Chinese fare to cater to a diverse set of visitors.

Favorite Dish: I had the Grand Luxe omelet which was deeeelicious. A 3 egg omelett filled with artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes, asparagus, roasted red peppers and havarti cheese, topped with hollendaise sauce (though I asked for it to be removed). Also, the coffee was rich and flavorful.

There should be something for everyone on this menu.

Favorite Dish: Eggs Benedict with Hollandaisse...probably the best I have had.
