On the first floor of the Excalibur Hotel and Casino is the biggest Krispy Kreme Doughnut shop Ive ever seen. So many flavours, shapes, sizes and you can watch them all being made and coming off the conveyor belt to go straight in a bag and straight into your mouth!! Theres Cinnamon glazed, Chocoalte glazed, Chocolate with candy sprinkles, Sugar filled with strawberry jam, Maple iced, Cinnamon filled with apple, New York Cheesecake, Strawberry and cream and on and on!
This is Vegas and I bet you cant walk by without stopping to buy ...at least one!
Favorite Dish: Cinnamon and apple followed very closely by the new New York Cheesecake...a doughnut with cheesecake topping...what more can anyone want in this life!!!

I freely admit there are two camps regarding Krispy Kreme - those that love them and those who think the first camp is crazy. Count me into the second camp. I find KK to make bland, glazed, raised donuts. Good enough for a quick snack to see what the fuss is all about and make up your own mind. Personally, I'd rather rack up calories elsewhere.

The Krispy Kreme I like is in Excalibur. It's kind of hard to find. You have to go into the building, then find the escalator (middle of the casino). Turn right off the escalator and I think it's on your left-hand side. It's further down than McDonald's. Go in the AM when the donuts are hot--makes all the difference in the world.
Because who can really go on vacation and not eat Krispy Kreme!!
Favorite Dish: Original glazed, creme-filled, and they do special flavors that are fun (once there was strawberry cheesecake that was actually pretty good).

OK, I know you're saying to yourself (Americans, anyway), "I've had a Krispy Kreme -- big deal!" But at Excalibur, you can watch them make the doughnuts and then eat one right off the assembly line. I don't just mean baked fresh, like when the light is on at your local Krispy Kreme shop. I got lucky and, when I was standing in line, one of the workers just started picking up doughnuts as they emerged from the icing "waterfall" and handing them to people in line. OMIGAWD -- it tasted like warm, sweet air with icing. It just dissolved on my tongue. (Yes, I am drooling like Homer Simpson *right now*!!!)
Favorite Dish: Uhhhhh, doughnuts. (duh . . .) Don't bother with anything but the glazed. Watch it get made (very cool), then eat it. The coffee is good too.

Consistent quality from store to store

Well many Canadians may call me a traitor here, but I must admit, I do love Krispy Kreme Doughnuts!! No disrespect to Tim's but these doughnuts are tremendous!
