Part two of my More: The buffet at luxor with more pictures.

More: The Buffet at Luxor, which is easily one of the most popular buffets in Las vegas since the price moderate. More: The Buffet at Luxor is Located in the lower level of the :uxor hotel and inside this massive buffet area are the Indiana Jones Type Motifs and there could be a long line during lunch and dinner as you don't need any reservations to enter the buffet. MORE features a massive 30-foot salad bar, homemade pizza station, two delectable carving stations, a tasty omelet station, and specialties from around the world. The scrumptious dessert station features French pastries and sugar-free dessert.

Favorite Dish: The choices here are really wide and there are various cooking stations and price wise, this is a steal for just $ 20 for a dinner buffet including the unlimited drinks too. A downside of a cheap buffet is that they don't have special stuffs like snow crabs, alaskan king crab legs, huge scallops or lobsters unlike the other buffets at the Wynn or Bellagio or MGM Grand (but they cost $ 35 or more).

Experience eating at the Luxor Buffet. The motif is totally amazing. You will be more amazed more of the architecture and design of the buffet restaurant than the food itself. You will see huge ropes and huge rough logs, wells and big stones like you are in a different time and space.

Favorite Dish: Everything is excellent. Just make sure that when you go to the dinner buffet, arrive earlier. There are many choices of food from salads to soups. It's all you can eat, so bring your appetite after an all-day of walking!

Luxor - Sunday Brunch Buffet: Don't Come Hungry
depinski profile photo
depinski 43 reviews

The Sunday brunch buffet at Luxor will leave you hungry. There was no line for a reason. The food selection ranged from waffles to roast turkey, but the quality of food leaves much to be desired. Taste and quality of all varieties of food were subpar. The dessert selections looked a lot better than they tasted. Skip this buffet.

More (Luxor's Buffet): Cheap...
heryanta profile photo
heryanta 353 reviews
rather blurry picture :p

Located at the base of the Luxor Pyramid my review of More as follows:

Price - very good
Lunch buffet for $12 ($15 if you're not staying at Luxor), a very tough price to beat since you'll be spending around the same amount for a sandwich combo at a deli.

Selection - poor
There's no crab legs, cocktail shrimps, dim sum items or cook to order noodles. I guess you get what you pay for.

Food - poor to average
Although the salad bar is good the warm meal selection is disappointing. The oriental cuisine is tasteless, the pizza taste like a cheap frozen brand. The fish and meatloaf were ok. Dessert sort of salvaged the meal in the end.

Ambiance - average
Decoration was quite nice, seat was comfortable. The restaurant is rather warm and humid which was kinda weird since the Luxor is generally cold

Overall - average
If it's not for the cheap price I will not consider coming back here. I can see myself coming back since I don't normally go to fine restaurants for lunch. If the option is paying $11 for a sandwich combo at a deli or $12 to go to this buffet I'd rather do the latter.

Luxor Buffet: in the middle but near the end of the Strip
conark profile photo

some other buffet boards often give this place a generously high rating. i tend to disagree and sometimes wonder at whom votes at these places. i came here for breakfast and heard that it was a good deal. i suppose if you're looking for something economical, with some atmosphere, a ton of warm/hot hot, and plenty of space to park your loogie traps (i.e. kids), then drop on by. for a high end meal this is not. it's safe and caters to the middle America crowd with the extensive collection of bacons, eggs, normal pasta, pizza, etc. yet nothing that could be considered a chef's special exist here.

Favorite Dish: can't remember. must be like most hollywood films these days: decent for what it is, but not trend setting.

Luxor Buffet: Pretty Plain and Ordinary for lunch

More - the Luxor Buffet

Tried this one a couple of times for lunch over the years. Not too much memorable - standard buffet choices. Not as exciting as the high end buffets, and not as stomach churning as the low end ones. I would simply call this an ordinary buffet, good for those who'd prefer to spend a little less for their buffet.

Favorite Dish: Can't remember a distinct favorite.

I hit this one for breakfast and, at $14 per person, it was not a good deal. Lunch is probably a better choice.

Pretty standard breakfast stuff here, and not even a wide selection. Not even any muffins or pastries here. No salad bar either. Not that I wanted one, but I was getting accustomed to seeing them at every Vegas buffet, including breakfast. The pharoah would not be pleased with this one.

Buffets - and more Buffets

Most if not all the hotels have a Buffett. You can find the basic to the extragavent- usually equivilant to the elegance leval of the hotel. The higher ends are at Bellegio, Caesars, Paris and the lower ends are Sahara, and Circus,Circus. You'll be able to find something to fit any budget. Just remember, you get what you pay for. If you want the most choices and selections, splurge and hit the buffett at Paris, or Caesars, or even Bellegiao.

Favorite Dish: My personal favorite is the Luxor. The room is themed, a nice change from the generic buffett line with large dining room. I think they also have the best mashed potatoes. heheheh
