    Stage Deli ~ MGM ~: ~ Simply Divine ~

by RavensWing Updated Jan 8, 2014

The Stage Deli is in the MGM Grand Hotel. It is has freshly made sandwiches. I had the Pastrami on rye with a side of hot mustard. It was delicious. It was a big sandwich, I had to take half of it back to my room. You can sit at the bar stools and tables or you can sit in the comfortable black leather chairs and watch sports on the many tv's that are there.

The Stage Deli also serves mouth-watering corned beef, turkey and brisket sandwiches, plus New York deli classics like matzo ball soup, kosher hotdogs, lox and bagels. Check it out. But don't forget about the perfectly seasoned soups, fresh salads, and pastries.

    Hours of Operation
    Monday - Thursday, 6:30am - 3:00am
    Friday - Sunday, 24 Hours

Favorite Dish: My favorite dish was the fully stuffed pastrami on rye sandwich.

Rainforest Cafe: Fun for the whole family

by Yaqui Updated Jun 23, 2008

We has eaten here many years ago and I wanted to bring my family here. They really enjoyed the food and the entertainment. They have these animatronics jungle animals that perform every ten or fifteen minutes. My son got the biggest kick out of the Gorillas. I will say, DO NOT sit next the baby elephant, that one was annoying…..LOL! The whole interior is a tropical rainforest with waterfalls, lush vegetation, and indigenous creatures. The seating area is a little cramped, but comfortable. I will say it was pricey, but the food was good. They had live entertainers walking around with card tricks and people making those cute balloon characters, they were very creative. As you enter, you enter through this awesome 10,000-gallon double archway aquarium. While waiting in line my boys just stared at the fish the whole time. All in all, we enjoyed it!

    Hours of Operation
    Sunday - Thursday, 8:00am - 11pm
    Friday & Saturday, 8:00am - midnight
    $12 – $15/person

Yup they have that. Its not the cheapest but its well worth it. It runs on average about 25 bucks, and worth every penny. Take it from me, MGM Buffet is the way to go!

    Diego's: Mexican Delight

by RavensWing Updated Jan 8, 2014

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Diego's is a mexican restaurant in the MGM hotel. The decor it modern.. The service was great. The food was delicious, the margaritas divine. The staff came to your table often enough to check if your drinks were empty but not so much that they interrupted your dinner.

In fact they had gone out of their way to get our dinners ready because we told them that we only had a short time and needed to leave to get to a show. Very accommodating.

Favorite Dish: Diego Sampling - a sampling of braised beef taquitos, chicken empanadas, and steak quesadilla

Pork Carnitas tamales - hand made tamales with beans and ancho rice

Churros were delicious - warm churros with roasted banana ice cream and cajeta sauce. Cajeta sauce is a mexican goat milk caramel sauce.

Rainforest Cafe in MGM: Eating in a Rainforest

by msbrandysue Written Jul 2, 2007

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

I am recommending this restaurant because of its delicious, regular, cheaper breakfast. While looking for breakfast in Las Vegas I found extremely expensive coffee and bagels or expensive, strange food. One morning all I wanted was some eggs, bacon, pancakes, etc. without putting $20-$50USD down. Well, in MGM I found what I was looking for!

The Rainforest Cafe is a chain of great restaurants around the United States. There is also one in the MGM Hotel beside the Tiger exhibit. The actual dining area is in the middle of a rainforest. There are (fake) monkeys, elephants, rainstorms, lightening, etc. However, everything in Vegas is bigger, right? So this Cafe is home to a 10,000 gallon saltwater aquarium and tropical waterfalls.

This is a great place to come if you are with little ones. They have a nice kids menu, balloons, and a fun little store.

Definitely the best breakfast I had!

Favorite Dish: The best part of their breakfast is the potato cubes (hash browns?). The seasoning is amazing and they were just AMAZING!! All of it was, really, but those were definitely the best. The bacon was crisp, eggs cooked right, and the fruit was fresh.

If you do come during the day/night you have to get the volcano desert! It comes with a lit firework, sparkler, and it's such a great treat!

Eating with the mascot! It's an elephant! AHHH!!!

Rainforest Cafe: Fun for all ages!

The ambience was that of a rainforest. There was misting water, mechanical animals and timed thunder to add to the ambience. You can find this chain of restaurant around the U.S., but it felt very in place in Vegas.

Expect to wait in line if you go at normal lunch/dinner times. There is a shop right next to the restaurant which has a lot of cute merchandise inspired by the restaurant.

Favorite Dish: The Caesar salad was very good. I added some grilled shrimp and was very satisfied. The drinks were also very good and are worth trying.

MGM Grand Buffet: Lots and lots of food!

by ErinInMD Written Apr 11, 2004

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The MGM Grand Buffet is a little pricey if you think back to all the cheap buffet signs you see around town ... but it worth the money.

We only ate there for breakfast on two mornings and were surprised on all the choices. You can have waffles, quiche, many different egg dishes ... just to name a few!

There's almost always a line, but the line moves quickly. You'll have better luck getting seated faster if you're in a small group. A line isn't always a bad thing, either. We had some great conversations with the people we stood in line with!

Favorite Dish: I'm a sucker for the home fries.

Studio Cafe @ The MGM Grand: The Casual Side of the MGM Grand

    by Court94403 Updated Jan 8, 2010

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The Studio Cafe is the laid-back side of the MGM Grand. The feel of it is similar to an "Upscale Denny's." The Studio Cafe offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, and light meals.

Breakfast favorites like Eggs Benedict, Steak & Eggs, Pancakes and Country Scramble.
lunch and dinner favorites include; BBQ Ribs with French Fries and Coleslaw, specialty burgers, sandwiches, the BLT (everyone's fav). Seafood is also available; Lobster and other varieties of fish, oversized salads, and comfort foods like Spagetti and Meatballs, Meatloaf, Fried Chicken and Mashed Potatoes.

Favorite Dish: For breakfast; The Veggie Egg-White Frittata with tomatoes, peppers and mushrooms. it is very filling. My husband like the Breakfast Burrito, with eggs cheddar cheese and salsa, one night he tried to order it for dinner! We also shared a stack of Buttermilk Pancakes, fluffy and warm with rich butter and maple syrup.

For lunch I enjoyed The Thai Asian Chicken Salad; with grilled chicken, carrots and roasted peanuts.

My favorite meal was dinner, I had Roasted Halibut in Lemon Butter Sauce with Spinach Pasta on the side.

The average price per person is about $18.00-20.00
This is a great place for children too.

Rainforest Cafe: Good spot for breakfast in the MGM Grand area

by Jefie Written Dec 30, 2008

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

I'd never eaten at a Rainforest Cafe before because they always look like such tourist traps, but I ended up going to the one located inside the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino because it was one of the most affordable places around to eat a good breakfast. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how friendly and fast the service was, and my classic American breakfast was really quite good. The atmosphere was of course a bit over the top and loud, especially during the "tropical thunderstorms" that start about every 20 min; luckily, we were seated next to a fountain so we didn't have to deal with animals that start moving and making noises! But if you don't mind the wacky atmosphere (or if you're traveling with kids), I'd definitely recommend the Rainforest Cafe as a relatively inexpensive place to eat a good meal. They do charge $3.50 for coffee, however!

Favorite Dish: I didn't leave anything on my plate so I'd say it's a pretty good spot for breakfast!

Fiamma: Mmmm! An ultra-hip and tasty Italian joint

by sunlovey Updated Nov 22, 2005

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Located in the city walk portion of the MGM nestled amidst several other restaurants, Fiamma attracts a chic and swanky 30-something crowd. Dimly lit, with a nice bar/lounge area. Ultra-friendly and attractive wait staff. So... this uber hip set up and clientele begs the question, is the food good? Yes my friends, yes it is.

Favorite Dish: Drinks to indulge in.... Lemon mojitos, Strawberry cheesecake martinis

    Gosh did we indulge here...

    MOZZARELLA
Mozzarella Di Bufala, Organic Tomatoes Yellow Pepper Crema, Basil Oil (so fresh, so authentic, an italian staple)

    POLIPO
        Citrus Grilled Octopus
Green Olive "Olivada", Roasted Peppers (OK, if you're not big into suction-cup like tentacles staring up at you from your plate, skip this one, if you don't mind, order it, it's spectacular)

    GNOCCHI
        Maine Lobster Ragu, Zucchini
Salsa Rosa, Fresh Herbs (hands down, my favorite, creamy, fresh and succulent, wanted to order another one!)

    TORTELLI
        Roman Sheep's Milk Ricotta Ravioli
        Truffled-Pecorino Cheese (deeeeelectable)

    BRANZINO
        Atlantic Black Bass "Salmoriglio"
Asparagus, Fingerling Potatoes (incredibly large portion, and quite delicious too)

and a heaping side of Yukon Gold "White Truffle" Smashed Potatoes (OH MY GOSH, why can't ALL mashed potatoes be infused with white truffles!?!??! HEAVEN)

    MGM Grand Buffet: MGM buffet

    by lazyman_1 Written Jun 6, 2006

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

there is almost too much food to choose from at the MGM Grand buffet. All different kinds of food are represented. There is a huge dessert bar, a mexican food booth, prime rib, rack of lamb, a seafood section, and salad bar. It is slightly on the expensive side at $27.99 so its doubtful you'll be eating there too often but its a great way to get a taste of what a las vegas buffet is all about

The Rainforest Cafe: A tropical storm surprise.

by RAINBOWWINGS Updated Apr 7, 2006

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

If you are in the MGM Grand, take time to go and have a snack or coffee or something stronger in this amazing tropical rainforest. Tables are placed under a canopy of jungle vines and trees with wooden walkways straddled from one to another. Large lifelike animals move in the forest. An elephant will stick his head out of a bush a trumpet loudly. A huge ape swings from vines and a beautiful waterfall plays in the background. Every half hours or so the lights dim as the clouds move overhead and a huge tropical storm starts. Rain falls heavily ( only round the Bar area) and thunder and lightning crack around you. A great experience. Go find Tracy the talking tree in the shop as you leave.

Favorite Dish: They used to do the most amazing liqueur coffees but unfortunately they dont anymore, but everything else is good.
