At the entrance to the New York Hotel there are stalls and small snack bars selling pretzels, toffee apples and soft drinks. We decided to stop here for ice cream. Plenty of flavours to choose from. There's also a couple of tables in there for if you wanted to eat your ice cream there rather than outside in the hot sunshine.
The food court in NY NY is where you want to go at the end of your stay if you're not winning at the table.... great food at affordable prices, and alot of selection , too, with at least a splash of NY flavor in some of the entrees..
Favorite Dish: NY Pizza by the slice!
The NY, NY Food Court offers a variety of food to suit every taste. Don't expect something fancy, most of what is available is fast food. The different eateries serve hamburgers and hot dogs, deli sandwiches, New York-style pizza and chinese food as well as deserts like ice cream or cookies. Get your food and eat it on the street (I'm kidding, the food court at NY, NY tries to mimic the streets of Manhattan’s Greenwich Village). I usually like to eat breakfast here when I'm in Vegas, a danish or a croissant and a cup of espresso.
It's not classy and it doen't have a great atmosphere or view of the casino. But there is good breakfast. It's especially nice after you arrive in Vegas on the red-eye flight or after you've been out drinking all night. Breakfast is very inexpensive and you get large portions. This is the place to go for a frugal breakfast. Bacon, eggs, coffee, biscuits, etc... It's all here. Highly recommended for a cheap breakfast on the go.
Favorite Dish: All of the breakfast food in the morning. Also a great stop in the afternoon for a hotdog (I know hotdogs are everywhere in Vegas, but Nathan's is the best).
We had lunch in one of the food court restaurants in the New York New York hotel. It looks just like a New York Street . It even has the steam coming out of grates in the "street". The foods vary from New york Deli type sandwiches to a Coney Island area that has hot dogs etc. This is a great place for lunch.
