Postrio: Wolfgang Puck at the Venetian

This is a delicious but pricey option located in the Venetian canal shopping area. The food is remarkable, the wine list is extensive, and the decor is comfortable and beautiful. This is a restaurant from the famous chef Wolfgang Puck, and I think it lives up to his reputation. For a cheaper alternative, have lunch here instead of dinner.

Favorite Dish: I had scallops that were really tasty . . . but the chicken my husband had (and I got to taste) was one of the best I've ever tried. We shared a chocolate dessert that was delicious and exactly the right size to share after a good meal.

The pricing I give below is for *most* entrees -- some (like the beef) top $50, and when you add wine, appetizers, and/or dessert the price per person will rise accordingly.

Postrio is located in the Venetian Hotel on St Mark's Square. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The inside is nicely decorated and very comfortable. The menu features a wide variety of food items from seafood to steaks. The wine list complimented the menu very well, and offered selections at various prices.

The service was excellent. Our server was friendly, helpful and attentive, as was the entire wait staff.

We would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Postrio: Lunch in San Marco...er! Vegas!

Ah! Lunching in the heart of "Venice"... Wolfgang Puck's tasty little pizza and pasta joint with "outdoor" cafe seating and luxe inside seating as well. Should you choose to sit outside you'll find yourself in Piazza San Marco beneath a beautiful blue 'sky'. This is where we sat...The food left us satisfied and content.

Favorite Dish: We were here for lunch and this is what we feasted on:

For starters...
Calamari fritti, spicy tomato sauce, arugula, balsamic glaze (great presentation, perfectly crispy!)
&
Antipasto - shaved Italian meats, fontina cheese, artichokes, rustic grilled bread (also, nice presentation, tasty)

I had a Spicy shrimp pizza with goat cheese and roasted red peppers (Spicy? CHECK. deliciously prepared. CHECK.)

And Tim had a Tuna nicoise salad, green beans, tomato petals, potato, roasted garlic vinaigrette (beautiful presentation, chock full of a lot of tasty delights)

Postrio

"The Three" presents a diverse array of dishes that has earned the san Francisco-based Italian restaurant acclaim as "One of the Ten Best Restaurants of the World".
Renowned Chef Wolfgang Puck has recreated "Postrio, continuing a tradition of exceptional service and kitchen-crafted talents, satistying a variety of tasters.
Located among The Grand Canal Shoppes in St. Mark's Square.
Open for lunch and dinner.
Very good service and great food.

Postrio: Excellent Treat

Upscale place that serves to enhance the garish yet opulent atmosphere of the Venetian. Read several good reviews and checked this place out. Definitely meets the hype. Not really popular among websites from what I've seen, but it has class and is certainly someplace to impress a date. They provide a nice sampling of fresh bread and the appetizers are flavorful. I had the porkchops which turned out to be one of the best (and filling) meals I had in a while. Rich, unique sauce that alluded to the chef's cullinary excellence.

Favorite Dish: Only had the porkchops, but it's not just some piece of meat they throw in a pan. Care and love had been placed into that to create a magnificence wanting to bring me back and sample another offering.

By far the best place we ate...

By far the best place we ate at during our short stay in 'Vegas was Postrio's. This is a Wolfgang Puck establishment and lives up to its reputation.
Here's my wife, Joan, in the kitchen with Wolfgang Puck.
Even though he has restaurant's in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, etc. and is seen on ABC-TV, the Home Shopping Network, and the Food Channel he just happened to be here on the night we ate.
Very big on the 'PR', he managed to come out and say hello to many of the tables and even allowed my wife in the kitchen for a picture.

Favorite Dish: I really enjoyed my swordfish (the dishes actual name escapes me now), but the highlight of my meal was dessert. I had the Grand Marnier and Orange souffle - it was simply out of this world.
But alas, they may not have these items on the menu when you stop buy - the menu changes day to day.

Entrance to the Venetian

This was a business dinner, so we had reserved a back banquet room. Just walking into the Venetian and thru all the shops helped set the mood for the Italian dinner we were about to enjoy.

A: West Rim is closer to Las Vegas, but is a huge tourist trap. It isn't actually located inside Grand Canyon National Park. It's a privately run casino / resort type place.
