Just ran out of the restaurant. I was lucky to have buffet pass..waited more than a half hr. Got in..right..a lot selection. But sorry. None of them with quality. Fish was solid. Ham skin like rubber. Shrimp were hard to chew. Desert all with cheap butter and no taste ..please don't try this buffet. I rarely complain. But this buffet way over rates. I urgent left the buffet and toke shuttle bus to Paris village buffet. Way fresh and desert quality way better. Though not 300 dishes. But quality is way better. Again. Most Rio food not fresh and frozen food. Domain is dry or watery. Don't believe what media say about this buffet. If they are good. I wouldn't run away to use my pass to use another restaurant to fill up my stomach.I would not recommend Rio to any one. Waste money and time..
Favorite Dish: None.

I guess the world only consists of Mexican chinese american and italian food. What about Greek, French, Thai etc etc etc
Not only is it limited, but the food they had was all dried up. For twenty eight dollars, I ate two beef ribs
Favorite Dish: all terrible

Do they think that the world consists of America, Mexico, China and Italy only? This was the biggest disappointment in all of Las vegas. Plus the food was inedible on the most part. I waited two hrs in line and paid 28 dollars and all I was able to eat was two beef ribs. Horrible dried up crappy food in each station.

I had read the reviews on this site before actually trying the Carnival World Buffet, as there were so many buffets in Vegas to choose from, it pursuaded me that this was the one...
I went there at around 3pm on a Monday afternoon, and to my surprise I didn't have to wait in line (they have 2 lines - one for coupon holders and one for people paying regular price), so as I didn't have a coupon we just walked right through to the pay station... there was only 1 person in front of us paying, and we were then seated right away. The lunch price was $16.99
I couldn't believe the size of the place... the serving stations must have stretched a third of a mile... choices of American food, Sushi, Chinese, Italian, Seafood, Mexican, Carvery Roast Ham, Beef etc, Salads, Casseroles, and a choice of dinner rolls.
They were also just getting ready for dinner, which meant they were adding king crabs legs and shrimp to the offerings... I'm not a Seafood or fish lover myself, so I wouldn't have wanted to pay the extra $10 for dinner, had I of got there after 3.30pm. The desserts station was also incredible - gelato, brownies, cheescake, peach cobbler, bread pudding, custard eclairs and cream puffs etc they even had a sugar free selection. The soft drinks and juices were included but if you want alcohol that's extra, but the beer is only $2 a bottle... the waiter was good, and made sure any used plates and empty glasses were cleared promptly...
I'll definitely be back there next time I'm in Vegas...
Favorite Dish: My favorite would probably be the roast beef, as is it wasn't too dry and just right... I also loved the American grill station as the burgers etc were flame grilled and tasted great! My partner fell in love with the Orange Chicken and Noodle station...

It is a bit pricey, but worth it! You can have just about anything you want here from Mac and Cheese to King Crab Legs.
The decore is very nice and no matter where you are seated you are close to the food! :)
We tried the seafood buffet at Rio's and found our selection better at the Carnival World Buffet.
There is a free shuttle from Harrah's on the strip to get to the Rio and back.
Favorite Dish: We always enjoy the Crab Legs at the Rio Carnival World Buffet.

I was unable to eat at this place because the lines were soooo loooong. Good luck to those of you who try.
Both Ceasars, Ballys, Flamingo, and a few other hotels offer a free shuttle to the Rio hotel.

Went here for Sunday brunch and they give you unlimited champagne they also have about 18 food stations with different foods to choose from each one with their own chef,
Favorite Dish: My favorite dish was all of them.

if you like food, this is the place to go. it's kinda hard to go wrong when around 300+ individually created dishes are made daily. i think that the hardest thing to deal with is the fact that most likely you won't be able to sample everything here. not that you would want to, but there's just so much that it's a place you're going to want to repeat just to check out other dishes.
quality-wise, this is quite good. not spectacular on the level that a Bellagio or Paris might set, but you're not going to be calling 9-11 with your living will in hand either. but if you have a huge group of voracious appetites, you can't do any harm by coming to this place.
Favorite Dish: the dessert! you'll be overwhelmed by the number of desserts served here. then again you'll be overwhelmed by the sheer number of dishes here anyway.

WOW!! I heard about this place on the travel channel and it looked like a great place to eat at. Big mistake.
It is true that they have a large variety of foods, but everything I tried was terrible. The shrimp was tastless, the burgers were a bit old, everything was of low quality.
The cost was less than at other, better buffets, but it is well worth spending $7 more for food of much higher caliber. Much Higher!

A: West Rim is closer to Las Vegas, but is a huge tourist trap. It isn't actually located inside Grand Canyon National Park. It's a privately run casino / resort type place.
