The buffet dinner at the Rio Hotel. Quite the variety, it's like being in a shopping mall food fair. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: The Rio hotel.

Imagine if you will, walking into a food court. A pretty extensive one, that features all the major kinds of food you can imagine. Now imagine that one price lets you eat anywhere in this food court, at any of the stands. That's the buffet at Rio. It's expensive, and it's crowded (tho if you go on off hours, not so bad), but it's definitely worth going once. I always take first-time Vegas visitors there for the sheer magnitude of it all. And everyone can find something to eat.
Here's what you'll find: Large salad bar (w/yummy fresh fruit) Pizza (not great) 50's diner (terrible--fries are okay when hot, self-serve shake machine is fun) Japanese (not inedible sushi, either) BBQ (good -- very meaty) Cash bar (keep ears open for 99 cent margarita announcements) Mongolian BBQ (probably best thing there) Mexican, Chinese & Italian (all decent) Good ol' American buffet (ham, turkey, sometimes roast beef, good soups & breads, good hot sides, lots of yummy carbs) Unbeatable dessert station (this place has just about anything you can imagine. If you don't see it, you ask, and they always seem to have it. Any pie, cobbler, cake, brownie, cookie, petits fours, you name it). I'm not a huge fan of buffets, but when you're in Vegas, you sort of feel obligated to go to one. If you have this same urge, there's one buffet that stands head and shoulders above the rest. The Rio Hotel & Casino's World Buffet is an enormous spread of food, encompassing cuisine from around the world. Where else can you pile Chinese food, pasta, a cheeseburger and a bean burrito onto your plate at the same time? The selection here is quite large. No matter what you're in the mood for, you'll find it here. The food is quite fresh. Be sure to save room for dessert: there is a large variety of cakes, pies, brownies, etc... The line for the World Buffet can get really long. You'll probably have to wait for a while.

The selection is out of this world. It's like having 15 restaurants in one place, and you can have whatever you want! Tip: watch for 2 for 1 coupons given out for the buffet while at the Hilton. WOW!! I heard about this place on the travel channel and it looked like a great place to eat at. Big mistake. It is true that they have a large variety of foods, but everything I tried was terrible. The shrimp was tastless, the burgers were a bit old, everything was of low quality. The cost was less than at other, better buffets, but it is well worth spending $7 more for food of much higher caliber. Much Higher! Went here for Sunday brunch and they give you unlimited champagne they also have about 18 food stations with different foods to choose from each one with their own chef,
My favorite dish was all of them. Leave a Comment Theme: BuffetPrice: US$21-30 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: 3700 W. Flamingo RoadDirections: Rio All-Suite Casino Resort
