WESTWARD HO, Las Vegas

I was staying at Circus Circus at the top of the strip so this was almost the first place I walked past on my first night. Being a lover of Hot Dogs (Westlers to those in the know) and having an eye for a bargain it was only a matter of time before I would succumb to this offering. $1.49 MEGA DOG - shown actual size (almost) the sign said but even I couldn't believe it when I ordered one and it arrived. This isn't an ordinary hot dog, it's a meal for two! It's like something out of the Las Vegas porn industry and I can't imagine the size of the tin these things come in. Funded by the casino's of course you bet on value when it comes to food but the strawberry sundaes were just as big.

If you take the kids and you're bored with them saying "No Daddy, not another casino" or "what is that girl doing in that photo" then drop in here for an hour. You could probably feed five for under $3 dollars.

Las Vegas has outstanding restaurants, amazing buffets and food deals available round the clock. On a crowded weekend in Las Vegas sometimes the lines at the buffets can get really long. If you find your self starved and facing a long line here is a tip for you. The Las Vegas Shopping Mall, located on the Strip, has a fabulous food court. It also has a large parking lot for easy access. After lunch you can head back to the Casino of your choice or spend some time shopping in the lovely mall.

Favorite Dish: At the Westward Ho Casino, located next door to Circus Circus, you can get some fantastic food goodies. They have an enormous strawbery shortcake, a great ribs meal and great deals on gigantic hot dogs. This is definitely bargain basement fare, but tasty and quick. If you like margaritas, head for the bar for a gigantic one for 99 cents.
