Mini Marts and Pharmacies: Cheap Beer on the Vegas Strip

    by CO_Traveler Written May 6, 2012

Walking the Las Vegas strip will make your body sore and tired in a hurry. A beer will give you a quick carb rush to keep you going a while longer. On the east side of Las Vegas Blvd, south of the Harley Davidson Cafe (across from the City Center Resort), there are several mini marts and souvenir shops where you can get 24-ounce cans of beer for $2.50 to $3.00. You can also get cans of beer in Walgreens and CVS pharmacies at other parts of the strip. The small liquor stores are much more expensive! You are allowed to walk the strip while drinking alcohol, and you can even walk in and out of resorts with outside drinks. A 12-ounce bottle of Bud Lite in a typical hotel bar can cost $8 plus tip!

Trader Joe's: Instead of ABC or Walgreen's

by bilgeez Updated Dec 25, 2010

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

With most restaurants becoming ridiculously expensive in Las Vegas, if you want to eat cheap most meals so you can afford that $40 dinner buffet. I would suggest to go to Trader Joe's at 2101 S. Decatur, just north of Sahara Blvd. TJ's is a long-standing favorite of mine. There are two other Trader Joe's in the Las Vegas area, but this one is just a couple miles west of the Strip. They charge their usual prices there, not inflated, like most stores near the strip. You can buy some ready-to-eat meals and snacks and beverages to tide you over so you don't faint from low blood sugar and can save the money to buy those expensive buffet meals. TJs also offers their nifty, decorative shopping bags; some are insulated, to keep food that needs to stay cold protected from the blistering summer Nevada sun. Even if you can afford to pony up for restaurants every meal in LV, TJ's is a good place to get snacks or beverages to keep in your room in case you tap out and need a beer to cry into because you can't play and get freebies from the casino any more!

    Walgreen: Buying hair straightener

by joiwatani Written Feb 26, 2009

There are many beauty salons in the United States where you can buy hair straighteners. It is best to go to a professional one. Also, there are many stores here where you can pick this stuff. There are many Walgreens in Las Vegas. There is actually one at the Strip.

Grocery Stores: Cheap booze for when you're not gambling

    by sev52 Written May 30, 2006

You can get a 40oz of vodka for $12.99 USD. Just get away from the tourist area and grab a bunch of booze and snacks to take back to your hotelroom for the duration of your trip. You'll save a lot of money, and have some great convenience.
