One thing Las Vegas has is lots of different types of shows. They really vary in prices. The Blue Man Group is definitely entertainment for the whole family. It was so funny and they get the audience involved. You will not be disappointed at all. We had such a wonderful time. We were even able to use our discount thru our Wydham hotel. It even kept my autistic son interested. He thought they were hilarious. They come out and take pictures with their fans after the performance, so stick around.

Mr. Las Vegas Himself, Steve Wynn, made this masterpiece but for some strange reason, he sold his gaming company to MGM and they now own this Brilliant piece of Eye Candy in las Vegas. Steve Wynn realized his folly and then he rebuilt his empire and is now again competing with MGM and Ceasars and Sands on the Vegas front. The Bellagio is patterned after the famous Bellagio Resort in lake como in Italy. Besides the eye candy outside, the fountains and the eye candy inside, the Conservatory, Bellagio features the luxe shopping via the Via Bellagio and the largest poker room in Las Vegas. It also houses the more than 2000 hand blown glass flowers by renowned artist Dale Chihuly and has several nice bars and restaurants inside. The only downside is that it is a long walk to go inside from the bellagio fountains hence many people do not go inside.

The Bellagio had the best christmas decor in town!! One that was unbelieveably beautiful. Red roses and golden decor made for an unforgettable christmas for us! The polar bear display made of white flowers was also exquisite. It made all the crowds around us seem to dissipate as we watched dreamily into these displays wishing or rather almost reliving our childhood christmas dreams.

There's this huge painting at Bellagio Hotel that depicts the scenic Tuscan farm. This is beautiful to look at as it is very huge.
It reminded me of my travel is Italy- those lovely trees, red-roof houses and medieval buildings on top of hills.
This painting is actually located to the right of the Bellagio linking the hotel from the streets with an escalator.

The Botanical Garden at Bellagio Hotel is very beautiful. Even if I travel to Las Vegas every year, I still go back to the garden because the hotel always change the decorations there. It depends on the month and the occasion.
If you travel to Las Vegas in the Spring time, most probably the garden is a Spring garden. Lots of tulips will be transplanted in the garden. They usually display different colors and a variety of tulips.
Make sure to always check the Botanical Garden.
This year, 2011, I noticed that the Bellagio Hotel have removed the house of butterflies. They used to have a collection of butterflies. They have now changed it to a bird cage, a huge one...

The Bellagio is a very impressive hotel. From the water show in the front to the beautifully landscaped pool, they do not miss a detail at this place. Everyone stops to stare at the Chihuly light fixture in the lobby. If you walk around you will find several pieces of Chihuly's art inside. They also have a conservatory right off of the front lobby. It changes with the seasons, so you never know what you might see. We went in April and it was gorgeous with all the spring flowers you could smell them as soon as you entered the front door.

The ceiling display at the Bellagio Hotel lobby is a riotous display of brilliantly colored blown glass flowers of over 2000 sq ft celebrated by Reuters as one of the 10 greatest ceilings in the world. It was created at the behest of Steve Wynn by Dale Chihuly, a world renowned artist and his team using hand blown glass flowers numbering over 2000. The flowers overlap both each other as well as the edges of the inset in the ceiling - a marvelous creation. Chihuly is famed for elevating hand blown glass from use for small objects of art to an architectural form, with creations all over the world. Really spectacular.
The Bellagio Hotel was created by Steve Wynn and his Mirage Resorts to evoke the spirit and beauty of Lake Como and its iconic village of Bellagio. The decor throughout, right down to the pictures lining the elevated walkway entrance from the strip, bespeak the beauty of Italy throughout. At $1.6 billion dollars, it was the most expensive hotel in the world at the time of its opening. It features an elegant and upscale mall, many restaurants including some by world class chefs, a massive casino, and over 5000 rooms ( and 10000 employees ) making it the largest hotel in Las Vegas. Today it is the flagship resort and corporate headquarters for MGM Resorts International created by the merger of MGM Grand and Mirage in 2000.

Many a travel book insist on you stopping by the Bellagio Lobby, and there's a reason for it. It really is amazing. The blown glass design on the ceiling is extraordinary and you get a feel for what elegance is about.
It's also a fun place to people-watch...if you can score a spot on the circular sofas.
It's also very close to the Bellagio Conservatory, which you can also do while you're there.
Hint: The coffee/sweets bar is straight past the lobby so if I were you I'd go get some coffee or smoothie and people watch for a bit, cuz lord knows you're feet are probably gonna be tired. ;)

The Bellagio Hotel isn't a recreation of a famous city. It's more a recreation of another planet. This is a place where fantasy comes to the fore and at The Bellagio, all things seem possible. From crazy, sporadically changing fountains to the talking tree, it's something out of a fairy tale that children of all ages seem to love.

A premiere stop in hotel touring in vegas is at Bellagio. If you don't mind to spend the money, stay here. The next thing better- walk the lobby/floral showcase/casino and catch the evening fountain shows here. There are wonderfully, luxurious shops, restaurants and even an art museum.
Bellagio tends to be crowded. Be patient with the masses trying to get a parking space and trying to get a good spot for the free fountain show.
Bellagio tends to stike out (at least for me) with the casino slots. Others I know who've been there haven't had any luck. I sense bad vibes here in an otherwise gorgeous hotel!!!
Check out my General tips on Bellagio's gardens and fountains shows!
