If you've never seen a Cirque...then you'll be sure to be amazed by this one. Only one word really comes to mind...surreal.
Don't miss it! If tix are hard to come by...then try Mystere at Treasure Island.
Cirque de Soliel's Mystere at Treasure Island
All I can say is, Wow! 'Mystère by Cirque du Soleil is a dynamic kaleidoscope of sights and sounds performed in a state of the art theatre. The international cast of 72 features dancers, singers, musicians, champion-caliber acrobats and a misguided clown' (http://www.treasureislandlasvegas.com/pages/frameset_noflash.asp)
$80.00 per ticket but well worth it.
Go see Cirque du Soleil. They have two shows there. Mystique at Treasure Island or O at Bellagio. both are amazing shows and well worth the money for the tickets. I left each show in awe. It is the most beautiful thing I have ever experienced on a stage.
Cirque du Soleil, Mystère at Treasure Island.
What a tremendous treat! This is indeed one of the best shows in Vegas. The music is haunting, the set and costume design, phenomenal... yet they pale in comparison to the artistry of the acrobats artfully intertwined with the humour of the clowns.Audience participation is a large part of the show. Be prepared. And do sit up in the balcony as much of the action takes place way up high...
Cirque du Soleil - the great show in Treasure Island, next to Mirage. If you won't be able to get the ticket, don't panic: just stand in a line for returned ticket. You'll wait one hour, but you'll get the best ticket - kept for VIPs to the last moment before the show. The performance was one of the most incredible experience during my whole trip.
go to see Cirque du Soliel. The Belagio has 'O' and Treasure Island has 'Mysteire'
Both shows are expensive, so if you only see one, see 'O.' If you're unaware, Cirque du Soliel is a circus without the animals, a sureal spectacle of acrobats, clowns, dancers and musicians that perform on hi tech sets that shift before your eyes. 'O,' which is homophonic for 'Eau,' the French word for water, is done over a deep, black pool of water. Floors beneath the water shift, so at some points in the show performers seem to be skipping over the water, at others they pull off quadruple flips from trapeze before plunging in. 'Mystere' is more classic acrobatics, including a man spinning a huge metal cube and two stong men seemingly defying gravity as they use each others weight to suspend themselves above the floor.
Cirque du Soleil show - either Mystere or O
Definitely go see a Cirque du Soleil show! My wife and I saw our first Cirque show - Mystere - here in Las Vegas and we're hooked! This is incredible art. Cirque has a saying: 'Impossible is only a word.' You'll believe it after seeing one of their shows. This show was worth the trip alone!
'O' presentent by Cirque Du Soleil was the definite highlight of our vacation. It's like nothing you have seen before! For the best seating, get your tickets a few months in advance... this show is usually sold out.

Beyond circus, beyond theater, Cirque du Soleil has created an entirely original form of live entertainment. 'O' pays tribute to the magic of the theater - from the simplest street performance to the most lavish of operas - where anything is possible and where the drama of life plays itself out before our very eyes. Cirque du Soleil's first venture into aquatic theater has been seen by more than 2 million spectators and has earned the acclaim of journalists from around the world. The Chicago Tribune says, '…as spectacular and inventive a live as you're likely to find anywhere in the world right now…' while Las Vegas Review-Journal recently honored 'O' as the best production show for the second year in a row. With an international cast of 81 artists, performing in, on and above a 1.5 million gallon pool of water, 'O' by Cirque du Soleil tells the tale of theater through the ages and frees us to embark on a 90-minute voyage where dreams are not only encouraged, they come true.
Tickets for 'O' are $110.00 and $90.00 (plus tax) and are currently on sale up to three months in advance.
To reserve tickets call 888-488-7111 or 702-796-9999 or visit any of the local ticket offices located at Bellagio, Treasure Island or The Mirage.
Two shows are held nightly Friday through Tuesday at 7:30pm and 10:30pm. There are no performances on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Cirque Du Soleil
Las Vegas is home to two versions of the most incredible circus in the world, Cirque D' Soleil's O and Mystique. This is one of the few circus to have no animals and is better for it. Both of these shows are a must see!
There are so many shows to see in Vegas...but I've heard that 'O' is among the best. This is the only show I've seen there, so I can't compare it to others. But I know it's the most spectacular Cirque du Soleil show I've been to so far. Most of the action takes place in a water tank, which serves as the stage for the performance. Throughout the show, a solid platform subtly rises to give the performers space to move, then slowly disappears to allow them to swim and dive into the water. The aerial acrobatics and diving are amazing.
If you plan to catch the show, you should purchase tickets well in advance of your trip. I believe they start selling tickets one-month before showtime. We purchased ours online, exactly one month beforehand. The ticket price depends on where you're sitting. We spent ~$100 per ticket for upper level seats. Kind of high up, but you can clearly see all of the action. It's rather expensive, but it's definitley worth watching.
See shows! In both my trips, I went to see 'Mystere' by Cirque du Soleil. If you had to see one show in Vegas, this be it! There's the other Cirque production, 'O' but it's more expensive and you can get crappy seats. In 'Mystere' no seat is bad. I also saw Lance Burton in my last visit. It was an excellent show, and for $50 and 6th row centre orchestra seats I was happy! If you want to see a magic show and do not want to spend too much money, Lance Burton is a worthy show.
(the photo here is a scanned postcard that I bought in the Mystere gift shop. I wanted to take a photo inside the theatre but we weren't allowed!)
We also saw Zumanity at NYNY and it was very good... The pre-show before was very good, so don't arrive late to the show! We got the sofa first row seats!
I think the greatest performance you can see. About 50-60 acrobats falling from the roof to the huge pool!! What a music.
It is well worth the money!!
Don't miss it!!
This picture was taken in front of Paris hotel on the strip...50 degrees outside..kinda chilly. Head to Treasure island to watch Cirque Du Soleil...awesome!
Don't miss this "O" show at Bellagio. Worth to watch the amazing performance than sitting infront of slot machines.
