Do you remember the old days when coke was still sold in small glass bottles? Well, Coca cola still sells them but not at regular stores anymore. They sell them at the Las Vegas' Coca cola store. So, if you want to collect them, you must check out the Coca cola store.
At the second floor of the store, they have a snack area. You can buy the coke in cans or coke in bottles!
For children, it is good to go to the Coca-cola store because there is a Coca-cola bear there for children to have their pictures taken. As long as you buy something from the store, they will allow you to have pictures taken with him for free of charge.
If you have them take the pictures, then you have that option, too. You will just have to buy the official picture from them with the Logo of Coca-Cola and the Coca-cola bear!
As for us, we just asked permission and told them that we bought some items from the store. They allow my children to have their pictures taken. Rainier, however, was the only one who went and had her pictures taken. Shelby said she is too old to do that stuff and Sierra, the youngest one, was scared of the bear!
Where else should we go if we have been here many times? Well, we went back to the Coca-cola store and check out what was on sale and luckily we found some Coca-cola shoulder bags for sale for $4.99 only!
The Coca-cola store has so many things to sell. There is also the Coca-cola bear where children can take pictures. But, my daughter was afraid of him.
Make sure to bring your receipts to be able to have pictures taken with him for free...
FYI: World of Coke changed in May of 2000. That is when the history museum and tasting room with the shooting coke display shut down.
It has just recently been renovated to two floors of retail. There are many fun souvenir and apparel items that are always changing. There are key chains, magnets, mousepads, shrink wrapped glass bottles, sports and golf items, stationary, lip glosses, plush, toys, glassware, jewelry, housewares, home decor....the list goes on.
The Soda fountain is a great place to visit. There are glass bottle coke, diet coke, coke made in mexico (made with pure cane sugar) and sprite. For $7 you can sit and enjoy 16 sample cups of different coke products from around the world. The samples are periodically changed but there is one "SPECIAL" product that will never change. There is also the FLOAT VARIETY PLATTER for $8. Which has 8 little ice cream floats on a tray to drool over. Some of the float flavors are coke, root beer, fanta orange, mello yello, and whatever 3 icee flavors are currently running.
There are surprise events promoting Coke Zero and cans of Coke Zero are given out in front of the store.
There are also random sighting of the Coca-Cola polar bear walking around the store for picture opportunities.
All in all the store may have changed but there are a lot of new things to come!
We went by the Coca Cola building several times, I don't really know it's inside BUT one I noticed one great thing and that it is the ticket booth inside. They sell show tickets at half price to today and tomorrows shows. You won't find the most popular shows such as Cirque de Soleil because these shows sell out anyway, but it's a great option if you want to see ex. Mamma Mia. I think it's mostly the same tickets every day, so you can come by early during your stay to check out what's playing and to which shows you can get cheap tickets. It is cheaper than the ticket outlets at Fashion Show Mall and the other one located further down (up north..) at the Strip.
Located near the New York Hotel, this museum is an interesting place to visit.
Inside we can see lots of items related to Coca cola including the bottling machine, copies of their advertisings, and many others. Additionally, you can taste different kinds of soft drinks that the company produces. Very neat place!
Huge, multi-level store, and it's all about this world's most popular soda. They even have a soda fountain on the top leve.
This was a fun place to
visit. It is a cross between
a museum for Coca Cola
items and a retail store.
Well worth a visit if you are
in the area.
One great thing about Vegas is all the shopping. This Coca-Cola store has more coke merchandise than I've ever seen. It's interesting just to walk through and see.
