at the NY, NY about to hit the coaster by bryINpoland Vegas has a hand full of thrill rides. I have been on all of them, and heres the scoops. New York New York coaster is personally my favorite coaster in vegas. A sweet first drop, and a lot of twist and turns that flow into each other smoothly... Sahara coaster- about a 40 second ride, and only the first 5 seconds of it are good. Worth a chance though just for those first 5 seconds... Stratosphere coaster and Big Shot- If u are affraid of heights, the coaster might scare u, but basicly it just goes round and round. I found the big shot more of a stomach lifter upper. I recommend the big shot... State Line coaster- Awesome first drop, 3rd biggest drop in the world (as of this past year). To me the first drop is the only great thing about it. The rest of the ride u are just getting over that drop. Also some of the ride is jerky especially towards the last 15 seconds. Worth a couple rides though... * Please feel free to rate this tip or any of my other tips. I am always looking to make improvements. Thank you... Leave a Comment

In the dead of summer, the casino swimming pools are the place to be. Nothing like taking a dip when the temp is peaking 110 degrees... Coming in at number 3 is the Venetian. Great wave pool, nice lazy river, good private cabanas, and nice looking people... At number 2 is MGM. Great selection of pools, good hot tubs, great service, and a great place to spy a celeb... At number 1, hands down, is the Hard Rock Hotel. This tropical paradise has all u need. Starting with a pool bar, inpool gambling, sandy beaches, inter-connecting pools, and the most beautiful people in vegas, if u want to see hard bodies, there are no shortage of them here. * Please feel free to rate this tip or any of my other tips. When in Vegas, you also have to do all-you-can-eat buffets that all hotels have. One of the bigger one I did was brunch at the Flamingo. Lots o' options especially dessert - there's always room for dessert (whipped cream on..) At the Tropicana on Wednesday nights there is a seafood buffet for about $16. But there are coupons in the hotel for $4 off. Leave a Comment Directions: All hotels have buffet specials.

So, here are some photos I took walking up and down Las Vegas Blvd. If you don't mind walking, wear some comfortable shoes and walk down the strip. You will have a wonderful time going in and out of the hotels. It's so convenient now that they have escalators, moving sidewalks and over pass walkways. The link below will give you an idea of all the hotels/casinos are on the strip.

by mhughes33 i'm not much for the shows in Vegas. one of my favorite things to do is just walk from casino to casino. the architecture is a marvel here. Ceasars - i love the ceiling, which many other hotels mimic now New York, New York - looks incredible from the outside - a mini version of NYC! Also has a roller coaster. Treasure Island - has a cool pirate show...catch it at dusk) Mirage - there is a 20,000 gallon coral reef in the lobby! Don't miss Siegfried & Roy's Royal White Tigers here. Bellagio - beautiful sculptures in the lobby and dancing fountains Paris - close your eyes before you go in, use your imagination and then...you are IN Paris! You don't have to spend a fortune in Vegas to have a good time (unless you gamble it all away!). there are so many free attractions! Leave a Comment

Bocelli concert by bruingirl There are many wonderful shows in Vegas - some have been in Vegas for awhile and others come and go. Blue Man Group's home was the Luxor in Vegas for quite some time. There's also O at the Bellagio, Mystere, and of course, there was the now infamous Siegfried and Roy. Recently, my boyfriend and I, went to see Bocelli, the famous Italian tenor at Mandalay Bay. It was a terrific show! Tickets for most shows can be purchased, as well as a schedule of events, by going to the website of each hotel.

by dthom3 Must See's, erm everthing. We've been three times in four years and we still haven't seen or done all the things we would have liked. My best advice is to get a good guide book and plan your days, otherwise your holiday will slip by without you seeing half of the things you could have done. Here are a couple of things you should try and do in Vegas: -Go to Fremont Street to see the light show -Take a trip to the Grand Canyon -Walk down the strip -Go up the Stratosphere -Visit Caesars Palace Vegas is almost like a fantasy world. Where else can you walk down a road and see 33% replica of the Statue of Liberty? A hotel that's a pyramid, a hotel that's the New York sky line, a 500 foot tall Eiffel Tower, Monte Carlo, Venice??? It has to be seen to be believed. Address: The Las Vegas Strip.Other Contact: Try the Las Vegas Tourist Board

Burlesque a la Parisian style! by Geisha_Girl While in Vegas, you MUST catch one of the shows! The Cirque du Soleil 'O' and 'Mystere' shows are quite popular and difficult to get tickets sometimes. My own personal favorite was 'La Femme' which is shown at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. It's not your typical cheesy, Vegas Showgirls type show. The show comes direct from a famous Paris nightspot and the dancers are from the original 'Crazy Horse' show in Paris. It's a combination of film projection, singing, and dancing. Very tastefully done and the women are beautiful and consistent in their artistic form. It's a burlesque show that truly celebrates the beauty and sensuality of a woman. Not your ordinary Vegas Strip Showgirls show. Very sophisticated performances. All the women are naturally beautiful! by Psychokiwi You should visit each casino. Each one has a different style to it. My favourites were Caesar's Palace, Excalibur, and Luxor. Caesar's Palace had a Roman Empire theme to it and they had a walkway of different shops all surrounded by Roman columns. I thought the design that went into this was very clever. The Excalibur had a Medevial theme and I think they had a sword on display that was supposed to be like King Arthur's. The Luxor was set up to look like Ancient Egypt. I don't quite remember, but they may have had a theatre set up for a documentary on Egypt. Leave a Comment Directions: Caesar's Palace: 3570 South Las Vegas Blvd. Luxor: 3900 Las Vegas Blvd. South Excalibur: 3850 S. Las Vegas Blvd.
