For the past couple of years, there are more and more people who dress up on the Las Vegas Strip for money. You have to pose with them and they get a one dollar tip.
During daytime, you will see people who dress up in costumes that are outrageous. Sometimes you wonder how hot it gets inside their costumes! (It is scorching hot in Las Vegas during daytime and these people are in huge thick costumes!)
At night time, you see Elvis Presley, the Robot Whistle Guy, Michael Jackson, etc.
Make sure that when you take a picture of them, discreetly do it. Otherwise, they remove their head gear or they might get mad at you.

Elvis and Vegas go together like rock and roll. There are a few Elvis’s on the strip. These men dress as Elvis and you can take their photos for a couple of dollars. We took our photo outside the Harley Davidson café.

Elvis is Everywhere in Vegas? Why?? I don't know... but, for whatever reason, Elvis is everywhere. I actually saw a young-Elvis impersonator put on a really good show at Imperial Palace... but I found the rest of them around very corny and overdone.

The Elvis-A-Rama Museum is about a mile off the strip and really a "must see" for Elvis fans only.
However, it is filled with Elvis stuff, and a young (cute) Elvis sings some of his song.
Supposedly the museum is the largest private collection of Elvis memoriabilia in the world worth $3.4 million. There were his stage costumes, record covers, hand written letters, posters from all 29 of his movies, photos and more photos, sections of different stages of his life with lots of displays, even his Cadillac limo. I think you could play audio and even video tapes along with some of the displays.
I guess I was surprised that it wasn't more of a tourist trap, in that there just weren't very many other people there when I was, and its in kind of an out of the way location.
It's open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily, and supposedly a shuttle every day except Sunday
It was less than $10 (with a free Elvis teddy bear with magazine coupon), which wouldn't take long to gamble away on a slot machine. I think it was worth going to as part of a Las Vegas experience.
Though I'm not a huge fan, it was a very engrossing collection representing the life of a very big star.

One thing I wanted to do in Vegas is get a photo with an Elvis impersonator or with Elvis himself. The closest I came is visiting the Elvis-A-Rama which is located about a block from the main strip. Elvis does appear there though one can only see him by attending the concert. The museum/store does have a bunch of memorabilia and things for sales, and one does not need to go to the concert in order to browse through this part.

A: West Rim is closer to Las Vegas, but is a huge tourist trap. It isn't actually located inside Grand Canyon National Park. It's a privately run casino / resort type place.
