New Year in Las Vegas is overcrowded and sometimes, it gets crazy. I will not book any shows on the New Year's eve, if I were you. Book the shows before the New Year.
There are many shows in Las Vegas but not sure who will be performing there who are new. The new performers there is the Jabbakowitz (the dancers who won at the "Who do you think can dance?". It's a group of dancers who have masks on them. This might be a good show for your son who is 21 years old if he likes hip-hop. Then there's the regular Cirque de Soleil Shows like the Zumanity, Ka, Mystere, etc. The magic shows are great, too like the David Copperfield.
It seemed like every huge hotel in Las Vegas has their own shows now like the Wynn Hotel, Bally's, MGM, Bellagio, Caesar's Palace, Treasure Island, etc. The Caesar's Palace attract visitors by their singers like Celine Dion and attract olderly tourists.
For the younger ones, they usually go to the Palms Hotel for the club and other attractions there like the Playboy Club, etc.
Aria Hotel is a very nice hotel. It's very new and very modern. The only thing about Aria Hotel is it is located further from the Strip...They have great shopping area but mostly, they only sell signature stuffs and cater mostly to the richer people. They have the biggest store for the Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Pucci, Hermenegildo Zegna, Taghuer, Tiffany, Jimmy Choo, etc...

We went to Vegas to attend a wedding and once the ceremony was finished (and we filled our tummies at the reception), we headed over to Palace Station for a little gambling. We are not big bettors, but we ended up having a great time.

For a family visiting Vegas and looking for a show you can all see together, I would recommend Gregory Popovich Pet Comedy Theater inside Planet Hollywood. I'm a Vegas local and took my younger cousins to see this show this past weekend, and I enjoyed it so much. It has the comedy aspect along with amazing tricks that are performed by animals that Gregory trained himself. This show is amazing. One of my favorite parts of the show was the balancing act on the ladders. You have to see it. It's amazing!!! By the audience's reactions, everyone seemed to enjoy it also. I would definitely recommend this show to any family looking for a family show to see and any pet lover. The animals in the show were all adopted from a local animal shelter. I was thoroughly amazed and definitely enjoyed the show. If you are coming to Vegas, make sure you this show!

The Dealertainers are celebrity look-alike blackjack dealers who work in the Legends Pit at the center of the Imperial Palace casino floor. At intervals, 3-4 of the dealers would take to the stage in the center of the pit and perform as whatever celebrity they were impersonating. I stayed here for 4 nights, and saw (with varying degrees of success) Gwen Stefani, Michael Jackson, Fergie, Roy Orbison, Alice Cooper, Toby Keith, Britney Spears, Rod Stewart, Marilyn Monroe, Garth Brooks and Stevie Wonder. At worst, you could tell who they were *supposed* to be; at best, it was eerie how much the performer looked and sounded like their intended subject. It was fascinating, and FREE - you just have to be in the general vicinity when the performance starts.
Performances are from Noon - 4am daily. Be sure to check it out!

If you're not confident enough to gamble at the tables in the big hotels, try Casino Royale on the strip. I didn't really gamble much in Vegas but we went into here during the day and the atmosphere was alot less intimidating than if we were mixing with hardcore gamblers (we gambled a bit at the MGM but stuck to the slots there!). Anyway, it looked like lady luck was on our side as we bet $20 on the roulette table and ended up walking away with $40! Not bad for Roulette virgins!

The Imperial Palace hotel has a free antique auto display that will prove very enjoyable for car lovers. With cars like Bentley's, Pierce Arrows and even Hitler's controversial vehicle. When you've had enough of the heat or the casino noise, take a look at the cars.

Imperial Palace is a hotel and casino that from 1959 to 1979 was called the Flamingo Capri. In 1979, it was renamed to the Asian-themed Imperial Palace. The key attraction here is that the hotel is home to the Imperial Palace Auto Collection. The Auto Collections is the world's largest and finest selection of antique, classic, muscle and special interest automobiles available for sale. The collection is located on the fifth floor of the self-parking garage. Open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

We went to the Imperial Palace to see the Auto Collection which turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The collection is located on the fifth floor of the parking garage. There is a counter set up at the Strip entrance that offers vouchers for seeing the collection so you can get in for free. You can also find coupons on the web or in various free brochures, but I believe that you still have to visit the above mentioned counter to get the entrance pass.
I'm not an auto enthusiast but I liked the collection. There were over 200 classic cars on display. I remember seeing many Ford, Mercedes, Cadillacs and Chevrolets models. They have a room dedicated to the British invasion which includes rare classics from Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Jaguar, Cooper, Aston Martin, all dating from the 1930s through the 1960s. The collection has been there a long time, but from what I understood the cars rotate in an out. A number of the cars had a "for sale" tag. I remember seeing a convertible car that used to belong to Marilyn Monroe. This one was also on sale (together with her nightgown!)

I didn't had the chance to see this hotel by inside during my days in Las Vegas, just I saw it from outside and took a few pictures of it.The only thing that I can say about this hotel it is that it has 1,500 rooms and that there are no family-oriented attractions here,as many of others hotels along the strip have..

I caught a show at the Comedy Club at the Riveria and it was great. It was very intimate and there wasn't a bad seat in the house. Just be wary of sitting in the front row because you might get picked on as the butt of a few jokes by the comedians. But it is all in good fun!
