    Pawn Stars Downtown

by painterdave Written Jul 17, 2013

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The Pawn Stars Pawn shop was made famous by television, and tv makes it look much better than it is. Greeted by parking attendants who offer special deals in Vegas, you park and walk around front, noticing that the front of the store is certainly filthy and needs a major touchup.
We found none of them working, and the clerks said that "the old man comes in to count his money most every day."
They did have some interesting items on display, but it only took me 10 minutes to see it all.
    Located downtown

I am not a Pawnstars/Pawnshop or whatever the show is called fan but my husband is. So we stopped at the Pawnshop to look around and take a few photos. It was getting a little late and this place was still packed with people. The pawnshop is actually pretty incredible and some of the items price tags were insane. My husband is a firefighter and likes to collect old fire equipment. There was an old fire extinguisher there for about $200 and of course my husband wanted to buy it. Lol well we decided against it, Thank god. I did not want to lug that thing around all of Vegas for the next couple of days. Whew.. but if you get a chance I would defiantly stop in at the Pawnshop to take a look. You never know who may be there that day!

Part two of my Pawn Stars tips with more pictures.

Attention Las Vegas Tip Editor, Please Include the Pawnstars "Gold and Silver Pawnshop" in the things to do tips!!! it is the second most popular reality tv show after Jersey Shore and it is located here in VEGAS.

We have to thank Rick Harrison and the Old Man for making the business of Pawning a popular TV Reality Series and the Pawnstars being shown at History Network is now the Highest Grossing Tv show in the network and is the second highest reality tv show after Jersey Shore. Well. I'm an avid fan of the show hence on a revisit to las vegas in september, I decided to find the pawnshop and also, must go inside the store and buy some souvenirs too hehehe. Due to the show, the pawnshop now averages up to 5,00 visitors a day from the 200 visitors a day when the tv series was not yet started and most of the visitors are not buying pawn items but are to gawk and buy tons of souvenirs. Where's Chumley?

You can pawn or sell whatever Item you want to and their appraisers will check it out and if you are lucky enough, one of the stars might actually appraise your item (make mine Chumley or The Old Man). They also sell tons and tons of collectible stuff like Rolex Watches, marilyn monroe memorabilia, Ancient Guns and muskets, Andy Warhol Pieces, Restored Coca Cola memorabilia and a lot more. don't forget the souvenirs.
