Planet Hollywood: The Miracle Mile Shops

The original Miracle Mile was on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles, the first drive-to shopping center in the United States, so named in 1920. Today shopping centers with this name are found in Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Florida, and one mile from our house in Manhasset, NY, among others. The Las Vegas version is a 1.2 mile roofed complex with a relatively high percentage of average-priced retailers including Guess, Urban Outfitters, the first H&M in Las Vegas, as well as a Sephora for the ladies. An assortment of restaurants are also modestly priced. Decor is largely modern with an interesting shiny black floor but otherwise unremarkable.

Near the back of the complex is the most striking section, pictured here, remaining from the former occupant. Originally named the Desert Passage, one non-renovated section has a Moroccan theme with the ubiquitous trompe l'oeil blue sky with fluffy clouds. The highlighted feature is "The Rainstorm" which is apparently pretty exciting when it is working. The layout is a circle with a few branches off to the entrances - no backtracking. At the center, a theater for the performing arts.

    Planet Hollywood's New Gambling Spin

Planet Hollywood can be skipped by some when face-to-face with the surroundings of New York, New York, Bellagio, Paris and others. However, Planet Hollywood has one thing that the others don't. The Pleasure Pit.

This unique casino has only roulette and blackjack but the dealers are all in lingerie and there are pole and go-go dancers around the tables.

Definitely for the grown up fun part of Las Vegas.....and not quite for family fun.

Win $1 million free pull at ph shops, the Strip

"Gambling" is a bit of a no-brainer entry for Las Vegas things to do, but without even speculating $1 you can win $1 million at the Miracle Mile Shops, Planet Hollywood resort.

You will be approached and handed the blue voucher (see picture 2) and wait in the short line (see how American I can be - I didn't say queue!) and if you get the jackpot then immediately pull a consecutive jackpot (they DON'T say it's likely or easty!) you get $1 million!

You always win something, e.g. 2-for-1 ticket vouchers for selected shows

great job of playing it LIVE!

    by magickidshow87 Written Aug 1, 2013

Not only were the costumes and the wigs authentic, but the guitars too. They also changed the sound of the amplifiers according to what song(s) they were playing. They changed everything according to the time period or phase that the Beatles were in. The show was very entertaining as not only did they cover many Beatles songs but they had dancers dressed in 60's costumes and an actor that played different characters in between set changes. the highlight for me was when they covered "A Day in the Life" (which was a song the Beatles never got to play live) and this cover band did a great job of playing it LIVE!

Believe or not, this Vegas Hypnosis show is FUNNY

by widdlebamboo Written May 1, 2013
Marc Savard- beginning of the elimination process

I'm going to have so many reviews just for the theaters inside the Miracle Mile Shops. The theaters here are a lot cheaper than a lot of other shows on the Strip. And usually you can find a lot of good discount codes online for their shows as well. Since I'm a local though, I already get 50% off :P either way though, the shows here are one of the more affordable things to do in Vegas.

I'm gonna talk about Marc Savard Comedy Hypnosis today.

Marc Savard Comedy Hypnosis is absolutely hilarious. The fact that it IS a later show lets you know that this show is not meant for the little ones. This show has a lot of adult language and content, thus its recommended 18+ age rating. The show is a little bit long because Marc goes through a decent lengthed elimination portion in the beginning, but it's VERY worth it! About 30 guests jump on stage at the start, and through his elimination process, the group boils down to about 10. He first goes through the basic stuff, like making them hot and then cold, and later he starts giving them more advanced instructions, like when they hear a certain sound or song, they'll burst out into river dance (seriously!). Throughout the show, Marc also gives fun little tid bits about the facts of hypnosis for the audience memebers. Nothing lecture-like, just fun FYI's.

I had a friend get hypnotized by him, and he swears up and down he does not remember anything that happened. :P One of the best hypnosis shows I've ever seen, and it's great for groups of friends, or even with just one other person.

Marc is hilarious, and what he has the volunteers doing is insane. From the dancing, to the show-stealing audience member to the porn-star wanna-be, it's a must-see. It's in the V Theater, a smaller theater, so the show is one of the more intimate shows on the Strip just from the proximity to the stage.

REALLY recommend this show if you're looking for a good comedy show on the Las Vegas Strip.

    A STORM IS BREWING

We had a lovely hour or so wandering around Planet Hollywood hotel in Las Vegas. The shops were wonderful. As soon as my girls saw H and M and urban outfitters, they were off shopping. I sat at a little café in the mall and had a coffee and a cake. Whilst I sat there, the artificial sky went dark as clouds came over, there was thunder and lightening and the rain came down. It was amazing as the rain only fell into the river that went down the middle of the mall.
