    this hotel is not on the strip but its really nice - starting at 20:00 they have like a parade hanging from the cieling - really nice and they have all kind of stuff every 30 minutes or so

    This show takes place over the casino's slot machines. There are several floats that follow on a track, which is on the ceiling. This performance is free to watch. If you desire, you can also ride on one of the floats for $12.95.

    the rio is located on flamingo blvd west of the interstate about 1/2 mile from the strip. the casino has a mardi gras theme and is a fun casino to visit. the only draw back is it's location. you can take a free shuttle from harrah's on the strip to the rio. there will be lower table limits than most of the casinos on the strip.

    Floats suspend from the ceiling, a parade above the casino floor. This show is a lot fun and is worth seeing...and it's free! There are four parades performed every two hours throughout the day

    This Casino has a Carnival theme. It has a great free Carnaval parade show. My only dissapointment was the lame disco music rather than real samba.

    Rio is one of the largest and best casinos outside the Strip and Downtown. It's located a couple of miles west of the Strip, on the other side of I-15. A few times a night they put out the Masquerade-in-the-Sky show. The theme is the Rio Carnival. This is a family oriented show where everyone can participate for a small fee.

    When the Rio Masquerade show starts, singers and dancers come out and perform at the center stage. Then several Masquerade boats glide around the ceiling on the rail (Masquerade in the sky). For a small fee you can ride on one of the boats and join the dancers in throwing out beaded necklace like in the Mardi Gras. It's party time!

    Women Only!
    A must see activity for women is the infamous Chippendales dancers. I went into the show a little apprehensive. We ended up having a blast. It was great for a bachelorette party. Pay the extra $10 and sit in the VIP seating. Get there early so you can get a table up front and be a part of the action. Coupons for the show can usually be found in the magazines in your hotel room. The Chippendales show is located in the RIO resort.

    If you take a trip off the Strip out to the Rio Hotel Casino, do not miss the Carnival!! I think this starts about 3pm and then every couple of hours or so, but its worth the wait if you mistime it. Suspended above the casino floor the full Rio Carnival glides out on ceiling runners with floats and dancers equally matching the real thing. People in full Rio carnival dress sit in the floats throwing out jewelery, sweets etc. and you can actually sign up to be one of them. A real spectacular and all free!
