This show is playing at the Venetian. I'm not sure for how long but it seems to be playing there for a while now. This particular show, at the Venetian, has these brass looking figures huddled around a clear, cylindrical column. During the show, the figures start to spin around the columns and you will see a very cool illusion. If you haven't seen the show, it's a must!

There are 3 things you absolutely must see when you come to the Venetian: (1) the Registration Desk and Lobby Area, on the 1st Floor (2) the Grand Canal, on the 2nd Floor (3) St. Mark's Square, on the 2nd Floor; the Square is modeled after the 'real' Piazza San Marco, pictured here. The Venetian is probably the most beautiful hotel/casino in Vegas. It's like a scaled-down model of Venice in the middle of the Nevada desert. It even has gondola rides down the 'Grand Canal'.

For $15.00 a person you get a gondola ride and a song from your gondolier. For $60 you get the gondola to yourself! The line was long -- reservations are recommended!

I was told that they hire for the voice and teach you how to pole a gondola later :) The gondoliers [both male & female] seemed to be really into the fiction!

This is not Venice, Italy. There is actually a gondola ride which takes you through the hotel's themed shopping center. I decided to wait for the real thing, myself.

Venetian. Missed your chance to visit Venice? Here's a place to revisit without crossing seas... They have managed to plant the Campanile Tower, the Grand Canal and the Rialto bridge, the gondolas, etc all on the same area.
All rooms are suites.
