THIS MAY COME AS A SURPRISE TO THOSE OF YOU NOT LIVING IN LAS VEGAS, BUT THERE ARE MORE CATHOLIC CHURCHES THAN CASINOS.

NOT SURPRISINGLY SOME WORSHIPERS AT SUNDAY SERVICES WILL GIVE CASINO CHIPS RATHER THAN CASH WHEN THE BASKET IS PASSED.

SINCE THEY GET CHIPS FROM MANY DIFFERENT CASINOS, THE CHURCHES HAVE DEVISED A METHOD TO COLLECT THE OFFERINGS.

THE CHURCHES SEND ALL THEIR COLLECTED CHIPS TO A NEARBY FRANSISCAN MONASTERY FOR SORTING AND THEN THE CHIPS ARE TAKEN TO THE CASINOS OF ORIGIN AND CASHED IN.

THIS IS DONE BY CHIP MONKS .

YOU DIDN'T EVEN SEE IT COMING DID YOU ?

    GOTCHA!

    Don't Gamble and Drink Alcohol

by lunasees Written Oct 1, 2007 1 reviews

The casinos will give you free alcohol in order to inhibit your common since. Need I say more?

Unique Suggestions: Bottled water is the way to go. You still have to tip the cocktail waitress. so stay safe and sane.

    Fun Alternatives: Don't drink anything!

  • Gambling Games

by davidvir Updated May 8, 2007 1 reviews

These Gambling games are meant for fun and recreation. People with gambling addiction should avoid playing these games as they might run out of money quickly.
    Best Online Casino Gambling
These are only fun games, and should not be played seriously. Do not spend plenty of money on gambling. I tried playing once and got ripped of my clothes :(

    Playing slots in Vegas

Hey, it may seem crazy to go to Vegas and not gamble. As a non-gambler I had to wonder why I was going at first. But once I got there I realized I was going to be way too busy to gamble much anyway! Vegas does not make it easy though. For every attraction you want to go to, even if you want to use the monorail, you have to walk through the casinos - there are no ways around that. And they are available all the time.

I did end up playing some slots briefly but stuck to a maximum to lose before walking away. Deciding on the maximum you can lose and sticking to it is an oldy but a goodie. Don't even think about going to Vegas to make money - it's just pure entertainment along with everything else the city offers.

    Mardi Gras at the Rio

    by Irish_Turtle Written May 31, 2006 14 reviews

A big float comes over the casino at certain times throughout the day and plays a little music and girls throw beads over the edge of their big boat in the sky. A huge trap to get people into the casino which his off of the strip.

Fun Alternatives: Go to the arcade if you want to feel the thrill of receiving something for trying.

    Be prepared

Its what Vegas is all about. But it can be a trap. One cannot find a clock anywhere other than your hotel room. When you enter any hotel, you just travel thru the casino to find stores, restaurants, restrooms, etc. They want you to stop and drop some bucks.

Unique Suggestions: Wear a watch, and spend your money wisely. Know when to quit. Everywhere you go you have a chance to gamble, so spread your money out.

If there's no hotel attached, don't bother

Casinos that don't have a hotel are usually rip-off joints. I know of a couple of slot joints downtown that certainly fit the bill. These places will have people standing out front trying to aggressively lure you in. Avoid the temptation, because you will not win in these places.

Unique Suggestions: Take advantage of any freebies you can get out of them, but don't put any money in there tight machines.

Fun Alternatives: There's no need to go into these places. You can go into any hotel/casino in town and gamble. Your odds are a lot better in a hotel/casino.

Remember exactly where you came in, and know your way out. Once inside the casinos become a maze, and exits are hard to find...the longer you stay, the more money you are likely to spend...

Unique Suggestions: Remember the surroundings such as a restuarant or restroom, so when you want to get out, your not disorientated. Sounds dumb, but is very likely once your lost inside a world of flashing lights, slot machines and tables...
