Cabbin' it in the rain by HotSpotJ The reason you want to stay in the center of the strip is not only for saving miles on your feet, but also saving money on the cab fares. The cabs here are cheap, but they can add up over the week, especially if you stay far out at the Stratosphere or even further out at the Rio or the Palms. You do have the option for very cheap limo rental if you are out on the town, but I cabbed it to Rio and the Palms, very cheap compared to NYC cab fares. A cab ride to the airport will cost you about $15 or so, so you might want to arrange a shuttle for that trip, but beware the shuttles amke alot of stops so leave with plenty of time to spare. Sedan by realdealz Town Car sedans are cheaper than stretch limousines and, are by the hour which can be more practical that a taxi if you need to make several short stops, or if you are going to a golf course because most of the better courses are 15 or more miles away from the strip hotels..Shuttle buses, and vans, can take you to, and from the airport. You will have to endure frequent stops, and sometimes cramped hot conditions. Bell Transportation With 389 vehicles,Bell Trans ranks in the top 5 largest fleets in the United States.

The Strip, Las Vegas. by Tricky_Dicky69 We caught a cab from the airport to the Bellagio on The Strip, to go to an out of town shopping mall, to go to Freemont Street and back to the airport. We found them all to be friendly, informative and trustworthy. I never felt as though I was about to be ripped off as you can do sometimes in other places. Don't forget that there are other choices once on The Strip, e.g monorails, trams and even walking. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

MGM Hotel on south end of the Strip by toontown From the airport to the south end of the Strip it should cost about $10-12. Make sure to tell the cab driver not to go through the tunnel or it will take longer. About $16 for the north end of the Strip, depending upon traffic. Taxis do not take credit card. There are also shuttle vans available that cost about $4 per person between the airport and the Strip or you can go all out and get a limo if you have a big group. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

You are bound to see limos in the taxi area of the finer hotels and most of the casinos. Our group was waiting in line at the taxi stand when one member ran over to the limo driver to inquire about the price. It was $49 from the strip to a reatuarant right near the convention ccenter. Much cheaper than if we had all piled in taxi cabs. The driver gave us his card and after dinner we called for pick up. It felt like we were splurging but we knew we found a great deal! If or when you’re in Las Vegas there is some etiquette or rules they have here. If you’re exiting a hotel and require the services of a taxi driver, they are usually lined up by the main entrance of the Casino’s. It is customary to enter the very first one lined up. I know that in the big cities, if you can hail one down or it is first come first serve. Not in Vegas, they have a code so they line up in order as they arrive so you ask the first one first. I’ve seen them refuse some people who have not observed this rule. Safety Tip for anywhere~ Before you enter a Taxi Cab, make sure the face is the same on there License board, so you know that they are legit. Tips: Driver ~ 15% of fare, no less than 25 cents Help with luggage ~ $1 per bag up to 5 bags $2 per bag 5 bags or more or if bags are very heavy (over 50 lbs. each) Shame on you, who wants a hernia!!!
