We found them all to be friendly, informative and trustworthy. I never felt as though I was about to be ripped off as you can do sometimes in other places.

You are bound to see limos in the taxi area of the finer hotels and most of the casinos. Our group was waiting in line at the taxi stand when one member ran over to the limo driver to inquire about the price. It was $49 from the strip to a reatuarant right near the convention ccenter. Much cheaper than if we had all piled in taxi cabs. The driver gave us his card and after dinner we called for pick up. It felt like we were splurging but we knew we found a great deal! If or when you’re in Las Vegas there is some etiquette or rules they have here. If you’re exiting a hotel and require the services of a taxi driver, they are usually lined up by the main entrance of the Casino’s. It is customary to enter the very first one lined up. I know that in the big cities, if you can hail one down or it is first come first serve. Not in Vegas, they have a code so they line up in order as they arrive so you ask the first one first. I’ve seen them refuse some people who have not observed this rule.
Safety Tip for anywhere~ Before you enter a Taxi Cab, make sure the face is the same on there License board, so you know that they are legit.
Tips:
Driver ~ 15% of fare, no less than 25 cents
Help with luggage ~ $1 per bag up to 5 bags
$2 per bag 5 bags or more or if bags are very heavy (over 50 lbs. each) Shame on you, who wants a hernia!!!
