JET: Nothing special

by JFro082

There was nothing wrong with JET, but there was nothing great about it. It's really big, almost too big. There are so many rooms to wander through, you kinda just wander instead of commit to a location or actually do anything. There is nothing special about the theme or decorations, and this could have been a club anywhere. It's like Studio 54 to me...if you're staying in The Mirage and just wanna go out, then it's fine. We had a good time and danced, but I just feel like there are more exciting places to spend your time in Vegas. No sneakers, no ball caps.

XS: Dancin' with myself

by JFro082

Hands down, best club for dancing. The dance floor is open, so you are outside, under the stars, by a fountain, and not dripping with sweat and forced to smell spilt alcohol and b.o. like most clubs. It was beautiful and I definitely recommend it!! No sneakers, no ball caps.

LAX: Just dance!

by JFro082

I loved LAX. They played great music all night, and it just has that vibe where everyone wants to dance. They have a great (kind of small) dance floor in front of the DJ booth (and some very cute DJs, I might add lol). It was more than just nightclub like Studio 54, but not as themed up as Tao. No sneakers, no ball caps.

Tao: The strip's best atmosphere

by JFro082

I loved Tao. It's really beautiful inside and very themed. It has a beautiful view of the strip from the outside smoking area. The music wasn't the best, but the vibe and atmosphere definitely made up for it.There was a huge line to get in (like all clubs in Vegas), but we bypassed the line and my friend told a random bouncer he worked in a casino (which he does) and he and my girlfriend and myself went right in. Though you may not be there with someone who works in Vegas, I always recommend talking to someone before actually getting into any line. In all of my trips to Vegas, I have never waited in a line and never paid to get in anywhere. I realize a lot of this is because I'm a young girl, but you can always find something to work to your adavantage when getting into a club in Vegas. No sneakers no ball caps.

Studio 54: The same 'ol song and dance

by JFro082

Typical Vegas nightclub. Gogo dancers, two levels, and lots of music. I've been a few times and I had a great time, but nothing really special about it to me. It is located at the MGM, so if you're staying there it is definitely convinient and you'll have fun, but I think there are more unique clubs to hit up during you're trip. No sneakers or ball caps.

Studio 54: In the MGM Grand

by LiLz

The dj is pretty good, spinning disco 'til the wee hours, but drink service is incredibly slow and the owners throw you out of your seats if their friends show up, which is pretty rude, if you as me. Everyone was dressed very nicely - no jeans or sneakers.

Coyote Ugly: Da Clubs

by merimichelle

A rowdy rock bar with girl bartendars spraying the crowd with alcohol, making women get on their knees on the bar to get hosed down and or shots straight from the bottle, dancing on bar, and treating everyone like they don't give a damn, all have attitudes. I like it the bouncers are all nice and bonus always treated as a VIP. Not sure what the costs are to get in. You wear a coat and tie you'll get made fun of. More casual but stylish. Most clubs don't like tennis shoes, flip flops in their club. This one I don't think it matters.

Tip Photo
Tangerine: Da clubs

by merimichelle

Tangerine in Treasure Island Casino Las Vegas. Indoor/outdoor club two different styles of music by dj's. One outside even plays drums as he djs. Inside every half hour or so is a girl in lingere dancing on the bar to a live jazz band. Long lines usually, VIP cards also wait in line...only those on the List get right in. Best bet if not on list is to go early. Easier to get into then say Pure at Ceasors Palace and just as fun just less stars. Upscale club dress code is in effect, more so for the men. No tennis shoes if you wear jeans they should be nice and stylish. Girls can get away with just about anything you'll see from completly dressy to total casual.

"The city that never sleeps": Las Vegas

by Astrobuck

OK, VT will only let me select Casino for this place, but there is so much more to Las Vegas than Casinos. Nightclubs beyond belief, restaurants, dancing, and yes, even the kids have a place here too at Circus Circus. Although it has been several years since I was last there, I'm sure some things haven't changed that much.**Casino tip: I learned this from someone who goes a lot...if you go to a casino to play slots, play the slot machines closest to the door. These pay out more because the owners of the casinos want you to see that their machines pay out. Therefore, you play more there, and you both make more money. I haven't tried this though, but it makes sense. If you try it and it works, e-mail me and let me know.** Too many dress codes to list. It has been about 15 years since I last went there, so I know a lot has changed. Go to the web site below for more information.

Blue Lamp: Burner friendly

by Maui-Haui

The Blue Lamp is a "Burner" friendly bar. It is really cool. I say it is a "Burner" friendly bar because that is what the people that go to Burning Man are called. The bartenders go or have gone to Burning Man and are open to that type of individual. Clothes with fire. Bondage apparel. 70's prom dress. Sequins, glitter, vegas showgirl/man style. Clown outfits. Furries. Goth. Punk. Sexy is besty!
