This is the road into the Valley of Fire, you choose how you want to get there. The LDS walked here and they rode horses when they first came out this way to settle. These days they drive a car like I did. I suggest you choose this method too.

This is the perfect time to rent that convertible you always wanted. The drive from Vegas is beautiful and the air fresh and clean. It might be a little warm in Summer but the car has air conditioning, right?
I've been here three times in 6 months and can't tell you how many motorcycles we see! If you've got a license renting one of those might be the way to go.
