Favorite thing: Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge is a 5400 acre lush wetland and lake set down in the Mojave Desert of Southern Nevada. 264 species of birds fly through here and the refuge is an important stop along the Pacific Flyway during the spring and fall migrations. There is pretty good fishing here too, along with hunting and several hiking trails. As you can see, there is also plenty of beautiful scenery. The refuge is just off US Highway 93.

Fondest memory: Watching the migrating birds.
