Walgreens: A Cheaper Way!

    Walgreens Drug Store is perched above Interstate 80 on Virginia Street. And is within walking distance of the downtown casino's. This means if you forget your toothbrush or other needed items you do not have to pay gift shop prices for them. Walgreens is also a well known pharmacy chain and if you have trouble with a prescription getting lost or stolen they may be able to help you out as long as you have all your info so they can contact your doctor.

    I like to get a few days worth of drinks and healthy snacks to take back to my hotel room. Yes you can get all kinds of drinks for free while you are gaming but its nice to have stuff in your room for just relaxing. Also a good place to pick up the local paper .

    A whole lot less then if you were to buy needed items at a gift shop on Virginia ST.

    This colorful kiosk at the Meadowood Mall is so colorful it can catch the eye of a person as crabby as me.

    • A lot of visitors to Reno never venture beyond the casinos in downtown Reno, especially those who do not have a car. So travelers may wonder where they can get a few basic necessities. A Walgreens drug store is located on Virginia Street within walking distance of the casinos on the Circus Circus end of the strip. This is a 24 hour store complete with a pharmacy where basic groceries can also be purchased. It is located on a bridge directly over Highway 80. It has a large parking lot for those with a car.

    • This is by far the cheapest grocery store we have in town. If you are staying for a while stock up here. You will save at least 25-50% over the big chain stores like Albertsons, Smith's, or Safeway.

    Just about anything. They always have the lowest price on milk for example. It is always at least .50 less than any store in town.

    I usually can get a whole cart of groceries for less than $150.

    This kiosk in the Meadowood Mall in Reno has all the accesories that you would need to keep your pet hermit crab happier than a clam.

    I don't advocate you would actually purchase one of these little critters just because you are attracted to the bright colors in the display.

    I never went shopping for a hermit crab before, don't know how much they cost elsewhere!
