Good 'ole down home cookin'.... This is not the typical restaurant you'd expect to find in a "small NH town." On one hand, they do have a great bar (down stairs) that seems to attract an "interesting" clientel, but the restaurant itself was great.

Favorite Dish: I had the chicken..done to perfection (and I'm fussy)

Not really a restaurant, but more of a "retro" coffee house of the '60's. They have some munchies but it's really a place for people to gather and just talk.

The Appalachian Mountain range is a series of mountains on the eastern coast of the US. The range actually starts in Canada and runs the entire east coast to Alabama. The trail runs right through the area of NH I lived and I'd routinely wander the woods.

It's a great place to hike as the "mountains" are not as high as they are in the western part of the US. As populated as some of the larger cities of the East Coast are, walking the trail takes you back to the "frontier days" of when the country was born. The hills are especially picturesque in the October timeframe when the "fall foliage" turns to vibrant colors.
