Awakenings Espresso Cafe

Awakenings is a pleasant little corner cafe with a single computer for internet access, wi-fi for those enabled, and a very cozy atmosphere. Big black leather chairs in a sunny interior and a wall and tree enclosed, bricked-in patio are available for relaxing. The drinks are great, from mocha lattes to chai or espresso, all with a bewildering variety of flavors. The prices are a bit steep, but I think it's worth it!

Favorite Dish: Awakenings makes a great chai and they'll add any of a slew of flavorings to it, from creme de menthe to almond, hazelnut to banana. Whatever you like!

Patrick's Pub & Eatery: Patrick's Pub in Gilford

The Emerald Room at Patrick's

Patrick's is an irish-style pub with a bar and eatery. They have events many nights, such as comedians and DJs. The specials run from roast lamb to prime rib. The food is great and there is a large menu. The ambience is lively with big-screen televisions quietly providing sports and the clinking of glasses at the wrap-around bar. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Favorite Dish: I love the shrimp pasta (I have it with alfredo sauce) dinner. Bring a large appetite for this one. I also fancy the bread and herbed butter (free) and Patrick's orange soda.

Nothin' Fancy
mexican bar and grill
prices are not high but the help is very friendly when they get a chance to slow down.located in the center of WEIRS BEACH , which is the main attraction in the area and especially during bike week(early june every year).
if timing is good , we can go for a walk down by the beach after dinner and sit on the benches and watch the fireworks. the beach is a short walk.
2 tv's give sports fans a good view in the bar and near seating...this place is packed on sports special days....frequently a line of motorcycles parked outside in fair weather

Favorite Dish: Extra chicken and cheese nachos are awesome with their own salsa and chips , these people also make delicious frozen strawberry gold margaritas in 16 ounce canning jars
make sure they deliver chips and salsa to the table , although delicious , occasionally they tend to get really busy.(a line out the door means a wait but if i am hungry i know it will be worth the wait)

The Tilton Diner

It's a real diner, with absolutely delicious real diner food. The prices will almost stun you, they are so low.

Favorite Dish: Cheeseburger and Fries or Onion rings, and I also like the Shepherd's pie.

Great atmosphere, casual, big portions and very reasonable prices. They can be tricky to find, but a real treasure!

Favorite Dish: Anything from their seafood menu or their fettuccine alfredo.
