Mt Cardigan is a 3,121 foot mountain. The top is mainly tree free and all granite so you get a full 360 degree view from the summit. The West Ridge Trail is supposedly 1/5 miles to the summit. I say supposedly because it is steep trail that feels longer than it is. Plan on about 2 and 1/2 hours to complete it.

Lots of protected wildlife. Last time we went we saw a deer.

There is a picnic area right before you start your climb. The trail is well marked.
