Martha's offers a great selection of beers brewed on site. The food menue offers american and mexican style. We had an appetizer sampler which was just great.

I am so into house, electronica and techno so I tend to linger in the front room when I hit the dance floor, but if 80's or 90's music turns you on - head out back to the Retro Room and rock the casbah Baby!
21+, fashionable/trendy dress, nice jeans are okay, but proper dress is required and leave the do rags and sneakers at home-you won't be let in here. Cover charge varies depending on whether a special guest DJ is booked.

Tons of parking, tons of tables. ALWAYS seems to be packed when I drive by, which is quite often when I'm home to see my parents, since they live nearby. You'll find the young crowd here. Leave a Comment

Definitely attracts the younger crowd. Have been known to bump into fellow highschool grads there. Be prepared to wait a bit to be let in. They fill to capacity.

Martha's has a live band every Friday and Saturday night. It is usually a little older crowd ranging from 30-50 years old. I haven't been there in a while, but they usually set up a live band along the street side of the restaurant with their backs to the windows. Between the band and the bar is an area large enough for dancing. In 2001 they started having DJs instead of bands... a big let down. But now there is talk of bringing back the bands! They also have happy hour weeknights from 4 to 6 pm, where you can enjoy half off some apppetizers and drinks are buy one and get the second for a cent.

Margaritas is the best nightspot in town for 20-30 year olds. It sits along the Nashua River within easy walking distance from Main Street. They do have great Margaritas (so the name must be accurate!), but also great music and friendly people. In 2005 Margaritas earned honors from Hippo Press for having both Best Cocktails and Best Pick-Up Place in Nashua. Margaritas is a New Hampshire based chain with around 20 locations in New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Besides this Nashua locations, I have also been to the Margaritas in Manchester... it was almost as big, and even more fun!

Boston Billiards might be a little off the beaten path in Nashua, but it is a great pool hall in a comfortable environment. This was our favorite place to spend an evening playing pool at one of their numerous tables. They also have a large menu that includes a variety of snacks and meals. Their appetizers range in price from $5 to $15 for items like pizza, nachos, pizzas and wings. Real food prices range from $5 to $10 for mostly simple items like fish and chips, sandwiches, burgers, and more. Boston Billiards has numerous specials including Monday Night Madness (10 Cent Wings), Tuesday College Night (free pool and 1/2 price appetizers with college ID), Wednesday Ladies Night (25% off everything for women), and Friday and Saturday live music. They also have locations in Boston, MA; Worcester, MA; West Springfield, MA; Warwick, RI; and Danbury, CT. Leave a Comment

Michael Timothy's is a trendy restaurant, but it was also our spot for a fancy night out on the town in one of the fanciest places in Nashua. They boast live music Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with no cover charge. This is a place where you don't want to wear blue jeans and a ratty T-shirt... try Penuche's for that! The bar area where the band plays is tiny, so be prepared to stand and stand close. The crowds get big, and the bar area seems to get smaller as the night progresses. I've never had a meal here, but they have an impressive and expensive menu full of pricey pizzas and expensive entrees like the grilled Australian lamb rack for $34 and the roasted chicken and pesto pizza for $18. Anytime I have stopped in for drinks, it seemed that every table was full of diners waiting around for music to start. Good luck getting seat on the weekend! Leave a Comment

Penuche's Ale House is Nashua's last real dive bar. That pretty much says it all. It's the sole occupant of a small building that could be a setting for a scene from the Lord of the Rings or some other damn hobbit movie. Inside is rustic to say the least... It does have a great and loyal local following, though. The friendly barkeeps and low prices keep people coming back for more. and more. and more. You first time there you might feel out of place, but by the second or third time you will almost fit in. Like anywhere else in America, if you are not an ass you are typically welcome! When I lived in Nashua, Penuche's was generally our spot to stop after a night striking out at Margaritas. Sunday- open mic at 9 Monday - $2 draughts 10 - 12 Tuesday - $1.75 BUD/BUD LIGHT BOTTLES, 9-12 Wednesday - promo night, $1.75 pints 9pm til keg kicks Thursday - $2.25 newcastles, 9- close
