Well, let's just say that it snows alot in New Hampshire. Please be prepared at all times to drive in snow. And remember even if you have 4 Wheel Drive, that doesnt mean you have 4 Wheel Stop!
So be careful driving in snow.
For a good afternoon of sitting back and enjoying the views along the north country hill sides & valleys, I suggest taking the Conway Scenic Railroad ride.
I also suggest bringing your own lunch. The one they let you order when purchasing the tickets is rather "high" for what you get.
Make reservations ... especially in the Fall!
Enjoy the views!
Lot's of traffic down the ONEmain street of this mountain town, but if you want to go further than just the shops along Route 16 for sight seeing, you need your own transportation. I saw no public transportation here.
Route 16 is the main highway leading through North Conway. It gets very congested due to the fact that so many outlet malls have opened in the area, bringing scores of people that the road is not equipped to handle. Try to find an alternate route through town. If you stop in Conway or somewhere thereabouts and ask a local, they will surely help out with this.
