    Go to The Brick Store in Bath, New Hamphire.
    It bills itself as America's oldest General Store. It is a fun place to poke around. They have everything from maple syrup to mittens.

    Franconia Notch: The Basin

    This is a rather odd granite pothole, about 20 feet in diameter, formed by glaciers. The Pemigewasset River flows through it. Over the years, it has worn the surface smooth.
