Each casino has two fronts : the first on the street, the second on the boardway. It is a wooden walkway tirelessly stridden by people changing casino to look for a better luck.
When they are tired, they use these odd little cars push by young people paid according the number of blocks they cover. An example of these cars is at the left bottom of the picture.
Favorite thing: Talk a walk on the boardwalk. It´s a wooden boulevard between the hotel casinos and the beach. Street artists, musicians and tourists make this car-free zone a fun place. It is a mixture of Las Vegas and a typical tourist beach resort with souvenir shops and small fast food shops.
Hang in the casino's and see a show. AC doesn't compare much to Vegas (or so I am told but I've never been to Vegas) but it is a lot of fun.
Fondest memory: I went there when I turned 21 (legal age to gamble) with my mom and we played the slots and she showed me that I could drink for free while I was at the machines. The servers come around and say 'coffee, tea' and you say 'I'll have a Long Island Iced Tea' and they bring it to you for free. They can not solicite alcohol but they can give it away complimentary. I thought this was great so I sat there at my .25 machine and had a few cocktails! She also took me to this one table, now remember I don't know anything about this stuff and she said 'oh, here is a high one, wanna see how fast you can lose your money' 'OK' so she put $20 on the table, the guy spun the wheel and then he took the $20. She said 'see, gone, you can get in trouble very fast here so you be careful'. It was great!
The first thing you have to do in Atlantic City is hit a casino. Most of the casino's are on the main strip Pacific Ave., and in my opinion The Trump Taj Mahal is the best for gambling, dining, and they have the best Night Club in Atlantic City called the Casba.
Fondest memory: In Atlantic City you can get or do just about anything at anytime. For example afert partying all night no matter what night you can still get all types of cusine 24 hours a day.
walk the boardwalk. This is America's first boardwalk. The famous wooden walkway offers 4 1/2 miles to stroll and sightsee. No matter where you go, the Atlantic Ocean is always in sight.
Fondest memory: Walking on the boardwalk and beach with Mike.
The best thing about Atlantic City is the casinos and nightlife. You MUST indulge!!! If you don't want to enjoy the casinos (and/or shows) then Atlantic City will probably NOT be the right place for you.
Fondest memory: Winning $5,000 in an evening of blackjack, roulette and craps after starting my crusade with only $500! (I must comment that this fondest memory was short-lived, since over the course of the rest of my 3-day adventure, I spent and gambled the rest away PLUS an additional $500!!!)
If its not to hard, walk the boardwalk from one end to the other, or take a ride. I did this and was pretty impressed with what I saw.
Fondest memory: This picture was taken from a pretty high location. The scene is magnificient. It's looking south down the beach and boardwalk area.
go hopping. If you park a car at showboat, it is free, then you can go from one casino to the next all night long.
Fondest memory: Fondest memory was my most recent visit to Trump Taj Majahl. Using a complementary pass for a one night stay, I expected your basic room, well, did I feel like a Princess when I arrived to find I had been given the King Suite, with a goregous view of the Altlantic as far as the eye could see.
Fondest memory: There are plenty of casinos to pick from. We went to Bally's because my friend Brian plays there......we all had a nice time.
Favorite thing: In order to check the age and the identity of each gambler, you must be registred before gambling in some casinos.
Monique wan in Las Vegas.
She wan in Chaudes Aigues (a French LV with a casino of 30 slot Machines).
But she lost at Atlantic City.
Favorite thing: Once you lost all your money in one of the casinos it's time to check out the broadwalk along the beach.
Favorite thing: Visit the Gift Shops, you don't have to buy. Some of them have pretty interesting things. My friends and I normally go in and find something fun to play with.
Favorite thing: Get settled in to your room if your staying overnight, then hit the boardwalk and check out the shops and sights. Do this during the day as well as night.
Fondest memory: Driving into the city is an awesome experience, well the traffic will drive you crazy but the scenary is pretty spectacular.
