Bill's Gyro Souvalki: Gyro's on the boardwalk

by robertlarsonjr Updated Apr 4, 2011

Bill's Gyro Souvalki is a small restaruant right on the boardwalk. The place services Italian and American food at reasonable prices. My wife and I ate their 3 times in the week that we stayed there. The gyro's were the best we ate in Atantic City during our stay.

    Red Square: Vodka anyone?

    by Lhenne1 Updated Apr 4, 2011

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Red Square is a Russian-themed restaurant specializing in caviar and vodka (though for quite the price). Located inside the Tropicana Resort, the restaurant is more high-scale than some of the choices in the same area.

Although expensive, you are certainly paying for great service and amazing food. The menu consists of a variety of meat and seafood dishes. I had a salmon dinner that was wonderfully tender. About seven different caviars are offered, from the $300+ Beluga to the more manageable salmon and trout roe. Aside from the extensive wine menu is the vodka and martini menu.

The atmosphere is RED...as in red-tinted lighting, wall color and furniture. The best part, though, has to be the bar. A true ice bar, half of the serving area is actually ice. You definitely don't need to worry about your drinks getting warm as you sip. Two large ice pillars also act as focal points int he lunge area of the restaurant.

Favorite Dish: Chocolate cake for dessert. The cake is made with a gooey center of dark chocolate and served with vanilla ice cream and strawberries.

Fuzzy shot of dessert Espresso Martini

by robertlarsonjr Written Dec 6, 2010

The Hard Rock in Atantic City has the familiar culture of the other cafes with pictures of famous rock and roll musicians, guitars and autographs. The dining area is well lit with a "burger and chicken" themed menu. The restaurant has a bar and a gift shop.

IL Mulino New York: Fine Italian Dining

by robertlarsonjr Written Dec 6, 2010

The resturant has a romantic setting with dim lights, bar in the front, and tables with white table clothes each with a candle on it. The staff will come by and clean off your table with a scrapper and give you cheese at various times of your meal. The food was really good.

Metropolitan Cafe: We had an excellent breakfast here

by Gypsystravels Updated Jul 29, 2009

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The Metropolitan is located at the Borgata Casino and is open 24 hours a day serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with a really nice full bar, seafood bar and a dessert case with yummy treats.

My girlfriends were staying at the Water Club and we were staying at Harrah's and decided to meet here for some breakfast before us girls went out to do some shopping leaving Ferni to continue playing the tables.

The restaurant is quite nice, with the Parisian feel of dark wood with three sections. There is an area in front of the restaurant where you can sit under some umbrellas and watch people walk by, there is an area where the bar is with some really nice tables and booths and then, behind a large sliding door there is another dining are where we were seated. The restaurant is quite large and we did not have to wait to be seated. My friends asked that we go ahead and be seated and start breakfast as they were running late, so we were taken to the back and our waiter brought over the menus, asked if we wanted water and coffee and left to come back to take our order.

We looked over the menu and I instantly knew I had to try the French Toast Swirl Banana Fosters, with a side of home fries (love my potatoes), Ferni decided on steak and eggs, his eggs scrambled.

The food was so delicious and I would definitely come back for either breakfast or even lunch or dinner.

Favorite Dish: I ordered the French Toast Swirl Banana Fosters which are three french toasts with cinnamon swirl topped with bananas...it was so yummy and way too much food for me, so Alice decided to share with me!! Ferni had the steak and scrambled eggs and he said his steak was okay, nothing to rave about!

White House Sub Shop: The best subs, ever made !!

    by sweetangel69 Written Apr 27, 2008

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Stand at the counter for take-out and watch bags and bags of fresh breads being brought in from the bakery down the street, this will be the absolute best bread that you will ever have in your life to be used for a sub sandwich. Order the special which is everything (and more of it) with lettuce, tomato, onion, oil and vinegar, and peppers. Now, here is the key to the whole thing, bring home these magificent sub sandwiches, wrap them in 2 sheets of paper towels first then aluminum foil, put them in your refrigerator for at least a day before eating them. This will let the meats and cheese along with the extras marinade together and soak into the wonderful sub roll. Each whole special sub can make 6-8 nice sized sandwiches. You will experience not only the best sub at the Jersey shore; but the best hoagie, grinder, poor boy, dagwood, or whatever you want to call it...in the country. PS...tell the sandwich maker at the counter that you are traveling with the sandwiches so that they can double wrap them in heavy butcher wrapping paper. PPS, while you are waiting for your number to be called, check out the photos on the wall. From Sinatra to Joe DiMaggio, everyone has had a sub at The White House; for 60 years, the quality and consistency have not been questioned.

Atlantic City Bar & Grill: "Lobsta" and Other Swimming Food

by MattandKim Written Sep 13, 2007

This was another great meal we had while in Atlantic City.

Don't let the appearance fool you, they have awesome seafood!! We had whole Maine lobster which was delicious. We were very glad we tried this spot. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but it was a great meal for the money. The service was also very good.

Since then, we found coupons on line for this restaurant as well so it is a very economical and worthwhile find. Check out t heir website.

Trinity Pub & Carvery: A Bit of the Emerald Isle

by MattandKim Written Sep 13, 2007

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The Pier at Caesars’ new Trinity Irish Pub & Carvery comes straight from the Emerald Isle...literally. Every piece of this place was brought over from Ireland, from the tiles on the ceiling to the planks on the floor and everything in between. True to the fashion in Ireland, this pub obviously serves pints of ale, but it also offers a wide variety of carvery from the rotisserie including roast leg of lamb, free range chicken, apricot stuffed pork loin. You can also get some classic pub grub including fish and chips, sheppard's pie and the ultimate Irish favorite of battered burgers and curry fries.

Favorite Dish: We had steak with yorkshire pudding which was fantastic. We'll be returning to this place on our next trip to A.C. in October '07. We are big fans of pubs.

Cuba Libre: Authentic Cuban Restaurant Experience

    by April1985 Written Aug 29, 2007

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

This place is amazing! The decoration is perfect, the music is outstanding, and the food is delicious! If you are looking for that real authentic Cuban restaurant experience, then this is the place to go. During the day it is a full on restaurant, but by 9pm sorry no one under 21 is aloud in, even if you are just sitting down to eat. The place turns into a club at night, where a dress code is mandatory! Sorry folks, if you don't dress up, your not getting in.

Favorite Dish: I had a chicken dish that was amazing. Cant quite remember what it was, But I do remember tasting everyone else's food, and everything was AMAZING!
