Sure we all are tempted to run up on a dune and play king of the mountain ! However, these dunes, are there for a special reason. They are there to keep Atlantic City safe. Please stay off the dunes, so outs city stays safe, at least from the weather that is.

There is a decent population of homeless in Atlantic City. Some are your garden variety, normal homeless(who i feel very bad for, must of whom are just down on their luck). Some are a more aggressive/crazy homeless. Most will not bother you, and if they do bother you a firm "no" will usually take care of them. However, there are a few out there that will try a little harder to get your change. Some will curse and you, some will threaten you.
Some homeless hang out in front of stores and will ask for you change as you leave. (especially on the New York Avenue and South Carolina Avenue 7-11 stores) Also, you will find that on occasion, the homeless make their way into the casinos. Just tell a Security Officer at your casino and they usually make sure the homeless find their way out. Leave a Comment

There seems to be a very large population of homeless people in Atantic City and it is more prevelant in and around the Broadwalk area. I definitely wouldn't feel safe walking around at night alone and would recommend that you travel with others and be alert. Leave a Comment

We all remember that song by Bette Midler, "Under the boardwalk"

Well, dont think this can happen now a days . There are "Bums" who live under the boardwalk, that wait for people to walk down on the beach at night. And when i say bums, i do not mean homeless people. Homeless people, are kind, and they dont want to hurt you, they just want a roof over their head out of the rain. A bum, is a person who doesnt care about himself. They dont want to work, because they are lazy. They dont care if they are mean, they dont care if they have to hurt someone to get what they want. They are no good, and you best stay away from them. If you get approached by a bum on the beach at night, run. because they will beat you down for 2 bucks if you've got it on you. If you get approached by one on the boardwalk, keep walking, dont even talk to them. If you talk back, they've got you by the hook, or at least they think they do.
"do you have any change, any change at all, come on you got a job, look at how nice your dressed, come on, just a dollar, come on, you can afford it"
this is what you will be followed with, and trust me - it has happened numerous times to me, especially in the summer when they are all out. I have been approached serveral times in 15 minutes just walking down the boards with my friends. Its not nice, and its not fun. Its actually kind of scary.
so, beware. If your going to the casino- dont wander down the boardwalk at night, stay in the casino - and play games, or eat at the resturants , the bums cant get you in there .

What ever you do, do not walk off the Boardwalk. I did not know this and found out the hard way. It is not a pleasant sight, and you will be followed by thieves. Take the Boardwalk. The locals in the Casino told me once we got there that it is not safe to walk off Boardwalk. YIKES! Leave a Comment

When parking in a casino parking garage, find a parking spot near the elevator. Even if you wind up on the top level, do not settle for a spot that is more than a 5 second walk to the elevator. I am not joking. There are people who croutch behind cars and just wait for unsuspecting victims to attack in the parking garages, and steal everything they have, including their car. Always watch your surroundings, and dont park too far away!

When you go into the casino's, only bring what you need to bring. Some cash, your ID, and car keys. Do not bring a huge bag, or even a medium sized bag. People will spot you out and you will become a target. Carry a wristlette, or something that can fit into your pockets, or all jokes aside, slide it into your boobage. You dont want to have to worry about pick pockets, or theives. In the casino you'll be fine, but while walking to and from the casino, and in the parking garage, beware!

While in a casino, you must try to remember this, There is security, there are surveillance cameras. But they are no where near as good as you taking preventive measures to protect yourself.
1. Do Not! Place your pocketbook, purse, clutch, wrist strap bag on the floor while you are playing slots or playing at the table games. IT WILL BE TAKEN.
2. Do Not! Place your pocketbook, purse, clutch, wrist strap bag between the slot machines, It's very easy to raise the partition on the other side of the aisle and remove your bag without you knowing.
3. Guys, Do Not! place cash or slot vouchers in your shirt pockets. It is very easy to distract you and remove the item.
4. Do Not! leave any of your items unattended. They will walk away without you. this may be common sense, but it's something people seem to forget while on vacation. Leave a Comment

you casn walk behind the casinos bur keep your guard up and dress the part, wear and old coat and a baseball cap over your face and keep away from crowds. behind the casinos are lots of bumbs and alike, for a good time go to the massage palors located behind the casinos. You will be greeted by a mamason and taken to a room to get ready for a table shower. Table showers by a young asiuan girla re exciting then go from there. Leave a Comment
