What were they thinking? How could they? They tore down the Hawaiian Cottage, a nightclub shaped like a pineapple, where you could go for a lei and a delicious tropical drink, and in its place they built some boring fast-food chain restaurant.
You can pass its ghost on Route 38, east of Cherry Hill Mall.

Phone: No-More
A great nightclub-- all the stars were there: Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Junior, Tom Jones, Tiny Tim... and THE SUPREMES. Here, my mother and I wait for the arrival onstage of Mary Wilson, Florence Ballard, and Diana Ross-- November 2, 1965.
It was a tragic day when they tore down this magical place and built an office.
Was I a geek or what?
